Listening & Mindfulness Group

Date: June 8, 2026 • 1:00 pm–3:00 pm

Location: West Charleston Library

Listening & Mindfulness Group at West Charleston Library.

Take time to slow down, reflect, and connect with others on Monday, June 8.

This free community gathering offers participants an opportunity to explore mindfulness practices to support emotional well-being, reduce stress, and foster greater self-awareness.

Growing research suggests that mindfulness training can positively influence the brain’s structure and function, helping individuals develop healthier responses to stress while creating space for healing, balance, and joyful living.

These supportive and collaborative group sessions are designed to help participants learn practical ways to incorporate mindfulness into their daily self-care routines.

The program is presented by Michael Davitt, a retired Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), who will guide attendees through discussions and mindfulness-based techniques in a welcoming environment.

The event is free and open to the public. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis and may be limited.

Whether you’re new to mindfulness or looking to strengthen an existing practice, this community-focused session offers a chance to learn, listen, and grow alongside others.
