Celebrate the rich island spirit woven into Las Vegas culture at the 9th Island Celebration: A Special Discovery Saturday at the Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas. Known affectionately as the “9th Island,” Las Vegas has long been a beloved home away from home for many Hawaiians, and this family-friendly event honors the traditions, stories, and community connections that helped inspire that nickname.

Guests of all ages are invited to enjoy a welcoming day filled with cultural discovery, live entertainment, and interactive fun. The celebration features hands-on crafts, interactive educational activities and experiences, and a vibrant lineup of live performances that reflect the energy and diversity of island-inspired culture in Las Vegas.

Featured performers include Serenity Rayne, Lady Reiko & The Sin City Prophets, Tematahi Las Vegas, and the Green Valley High School K-Pop Club, creating an exciting mix of music, movement, and community expression throughout the day.

Families, friends, and visitors are encouraged to bring their ‘ohana and take part in this meaningful celebration of culture and connection. Admission to the event is free with museum admission, and guests can also choose to participate in a special haku lei activity for an additional $5 materials fee, where they can create a traditional Hawaiian floral crown often worn during celebrations and cultural events.

Whether you have island roots or simply want to experience something unique and uplifting in Las Vegas, the 9th Island Celebration offers a memorable afternoon of learning, creativity, and aloha spirit.
