Trigono Hills Park: Water Sprays, Wiggly Slides & Wild Climbs

Trigono Hills Park

Vegas mamas, get ready to add a new favorite to your park-hopping list. Trigono Hills Park is the kind of place that makes you say, “Why haven’t we come here sooner?” With over 7.3 acres of fun, this West-side gem near West Gilmore and Cliff Shadows Parkway is packed with playgrounds, grassy fields, splashy adventures, and plenty of space to throw a birthday bash!

Location: Easy to Get To, Hard to Leave

Trigono Hills Park sits conveniently just off the 215 and Cliff Shadows Pkwy, making it super accessible for families in the Northwest and Summerlin areas. Once you pull in, you’ll see wide open skies, a clear view of the mountains, and a park that’s bustling but never overwhelming.

It’s modern and well-maintained, with lighted walking paths, a smart layout, and something for every age group—even the grownups who just want to sip iced coffee in peace under some shade (been there, doing that).

Triple Threat: Three Parks in One

One of the best parts of Trigono Hills is how it’s organized into three main sections—each one its own adventure:

The Little Kid Playground (Ages 2–5): Adorably shaded with colorful climbing structures that are low to the ground. Think mini slides, friendly shapes, and fun textures built just for tiny explorers who are still figuring out how to climb like Spider-Man.

The Big Kid Zone (Ages 5–12): A seriously cool area with features that even had me tempted to climb in and give it a go. More on that below.

The Splash Pad: The central oasis of Trigono Hills Park and is a full-on lifesaver between May 1 and September 30 (open daily from 9 AM to 8 PM). It’s not shaded, but it’s wildly fun and always a magnet for kids of all ages.

The Big Kid Playground: Not Just Swings and Slides

Let’s talk about this climbing wonderland. If your kiddo’s idea of fun involves crawling, swinging, hanging, jumping, and spinning—this is their zone. The main climbing structure is part playground, part obstacle course!

There are round climbing balls that kids can balance on, hop between, or climb up like they’re in a ninja competition. A climbing bridge that gently bounces with every step—just enough thrill without the fear.

Hoops to climb through that test their flexibility and coordination (and give you plenty of photo ops).

My toddler’s favorite thing to just watch older kids use: the giant spinning chair. One kid hops in and another gives it a twirl—pure joy and giggles every time.

Fun slides and uphill climbing structures.

Everything’s padded underneath for safety, and there’s just enough distance between the big and little kid areas that everyone gets their own space to play without feeling cramped.

Splash Pad Magic!

In the center of Trigono Hills Park lies the splash pad, and I have three words for you: giant water spider.

The Spider Splash Pad soaking every visitor.

It’s the kind of feature that stops kids in their tracks. This huge spider sculpture has multiple jets that spray water in every direction—legs, head, you name it. It looks straight out of a cartoon but feels like a full-on mini waterpark.

Surrounding it are smaller creatures and fountains, perfectly designed for younger kids who might not be ready for spider-soaking but still want to stomp, splash, and shriek with joy.

Quick heads-up: there’s no shade over the splash pad, so plan accordingly. We usually go early in the morning or bring sun hats, UV shirts, and a towel that doubles as a mini cabana.

Also note the seasonal splash pad hours: open May 1st through September 30th, 9 AM to 8 PM. Don’t show up in October with swim gear unless you want disappointed kiddos.

Space to Run, Chill, and Celebrate

Beyond the playgrounds and water play, Trigono Hills has a huge open grassy field that practically begs for a soccer ball, a game of tag, or a full-blown picnic setup.

We’ve seen families bring beach tents, coolers, and full charcuterie boards (goals). The field is great for tossing a football or just letting the kids run wild while you grab a breather.

And yes, Trigono Hills Park is a birthday magnet. You’ll often see balloons tied to fences, folding tables with cupcakes, and happy chaos in every direction.

That’s because there’s a reservable picnic area—shaded, spacious, and close enough to the action so kids can play while the grownups keep an eye out. Check the city’s reservation system if you want to claim it for your next party.

Interactive Garden & Walking Paths

Tucked into one corner is the interactive garden, which is lowkey one of my favorite parts. It’s not flashy, but it’s peaceful and full of sweet little details—signs, textures, and small features that give curious kids something new to explore.

And if you’re in the mood for a stroll, the lighted walking paths are great for laps with a stroller, a quick jog, or a relaxed walk while your older kids burn energy on the playground. We’ve even brought scooters and did loops around Trigono Hills Park while the babies napped in the stroller.

Spark Family Fun at Trigono Hills Park

Trigono Hills Park checks all the boxes: fun, free, clean, safe, and full of surprises. It’s not just a quick after-school stop—it’s a full-on “spend your whole morning here and still not get bored” kind of place.

So whether you’re celebrating a birthday, chasing after a toddler, or just trying to squeeze in some movement and sunshine between errands, make a stop at Trigono Hills. Pack sunscreen, bring snacks, and let the magic of climbing balls, splashy spiders, and shaded slides do the rest.
