We’d been hearing about Yo Mochi for weeks, and the kids were basically pacing the kitchen waiting for their turn to try mochi donuts.
When the new Boca Park location opened in Summerlin, we made it happen—and yes, the anticipation was totally worth it.
The shop isn’t huge, but it nails the essentials: fresh, chewy mochi donuts, savory mochi dogs, and a few other mochi-driven treats that keep you browsing the case longer than you planned.
While you wait (or after you order), the kids can jump to the claw machines or dive into classic arcade games like Mario, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, and more—instant crowd control.
Heads up: The claw machines and the arcade take quarters, and what my kids chose to play was $1 each try. Bring some quarters with you, as the counter doesn’t always have them for the claws.

What to Order First
We kept things classic-for-kids and fun-for-grownups. Six donuts went home with us for dessert: a Churro Mochi Donut, Cocoa Pebbles, and Cookies & Cream.
By the time dinner hit the table, the only thing anyone wanted was to fast-forward to those donuts.
Yo Mochi Donuts to Try
Churro Mochi Donut
This one hits the cinnamon-sugar spot with that signature mochi bounce. It’s familiar enough for picky eaters, but the texture makes it feel special.

Cocoa Pebbles
Colorful, crunchy, and nostalgic in a bite. The cereal topping adds extra crunch, while the mochi base keeps it light and chewy.
Cookies & Cream

Cookie crumbles over a smooth glaze give you that classic cookies-and-cream flavor without feeling heavy. The mochi ring keeps it airy and fun to share.
Savory Break: Yo Mochi Dogs & More
Don’t sleep on the savory menu. Mochi dogs (think a corndog glow-up with a crispy-chewy shell) are a quick way to turn this stop into a mini meal.

It’s the kind of savory-sweet balance that works especially well if you’re trying to keep everyone from sugar-spiraling.
Another fun surprise? Their Mochi Waffles. Light, chewy, and designed for sharing, these waffles bring the same playful mochi texture to a new shape. Perfect as a snack on their own or as a sweet base for toppings.

And beyond the mochi creations, Yo Mochi also stocks unique Japanese snacks like Turtle Chips, Matcha Bites, and more. It’s the kind of grab-and-go treat selection that makes it easy to extend the experience at home or surprise the kids with something new.

Kid Appeal on Lock: Games & Wiggles
The combo of claw machines and classic arcade favorites like Mario, Pac-Man, and Donkey Kong turns wait time into playtime. It’s just enough to break up a sugar run, and it gives you a minute to sip water and choose flavors without a chorus of “Is it ready yet?”
Bring quarters. Most games run $1 a try, and you’ll save yourself the scramble if you come prepared.

Grab a Bite, Win a Prize, Repeat
Yo Mochi’s Boca Park location is a great little spot that delivers exactly what you want from a family dessert stop: flavorful, super-fresh mochi donuts, fun savory bites, unique Japanese snacks, and a couple of games to keep the crew entertained.
Prices are reasonable, the vibe is easy, and the treats are kid-approved. We’ll be back—with quarters in our pocket!
