Grab your cape and make every step count at the 2026 Candlelighters Superhero 5K, happening Saturday, September 19 at Mountain’s Edge Exploration Peak Park. This family-friendly event brings the Southern Nevada community together to support local children and families facing childhood cancer.
Participants can run or walk the Superhero 5K or take part in the returning 1-Mile Fun Run, which is designed for participants of all ages and abilities. Every registration includes a finisher medal and superhero cape while supplies last, adding to the superhero spirit of the morning.
The fun goes far beyond the finish line. Families can enjoy live entertainment, food trucks, vendor booths with free giveaways, a Kids Zone featuring an inflatable obstacle course and games, and plenty of superheroes dressed in full costume. There will also be fun photo opportunities throughout the event.
Competitive runners can participate in the timed 5K, with timed race bibs available for registrations completed through September 9. Registrations after September 9 will be untimed.
Most importantly, every step helps make a difference. All funds raised directly benefit children and families served by Candlelighters, providing support to local families navigating childhood cancer.
Participants are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for parking, shuttle transportation, check-in, and the opening festivities before the races begin.
