Death by 5k Las Vegas -Mid-January in Las Vegas is prime “new year, new me” territory—cooler air, clearer mornings, and that strange urge to prove something to yourself before the year gets busy again. It’s the season where locals start chasing goals with a little extra bite.
Death by 5k brings that energy in the form of a bold endurance challenge: ten 5Ks in 24 hours at Henderson’s Cornerstone Park. It’s part race, part hangout, part survival story you’ll be telling for a long time.
The Challenge: Ten 5Ks in 24 Hours
The event format is simple and brutal: ten 5Ks in 24 hours. The first 5K starts at 8 am, with additional 5Ks starting every 2.5 hours. The final 5K must be completed by 8 am on Sunday.
The Course at Cornerstone Park
The Las Vegas edition takes place at Henderson’s Cornerstone Park. The 5K course is the same for each run: a loop with a short out-and-back spur, all on paved trails.
Food and Fuel
There will be five meals served over the course of the event, each including hot food, plus plenty of snack food throughout.
Camp Setup On Site
Participants are allowed to set up tents in the big green space near the start/finish—helpful when you’re tackling repeated 5Ks on a tight cycle.
Swag + The Finisher’s Coffin
Registrants receive a tri-blend race shirt, race swag, and finishers receive the custom finisher’s coffin.
Hydration Note
There is no on-course aid station, so runners will want to carry a handheld or other hydration equipment.
Participant Limits
Initially, 200 spots are open for registration. After those fill up, anyone wishing to register will be placed on the waitlist (not guaranteed).
