What to Expect
Dragon Boat Races: Cheer on teams racing in authentic Hong Kong–style dragon boats, complete with paddlers, a drummer, and a steersperson. Divisions and race distances vary across both days:
Saturday, May 17
- 200m races for 10-person crews (Mixed, Women’s, Collegiate, Open)
- 200m races for 20-person crews (Corporate/Community, ACP, BCP, Paradragons, Youth)
Sunday, May 18
- 500m races for 20-person crews (Mixed, Open, Women’s, Masters)
Team Building & Inclusivity: Dragon boat racing emphasizes synchronization and teamwork, making it accessible to all skill levels, ages, and physiques. Local teams are free for youth, cancer, VA, and Para crews—no experience needed!
Cultural Performances: Enjoy a spectacular traditional Lion Dance and immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere.
Food & Vendors: Browse local vendors and savor delicious eats throughout the day.
Special Breast Cancer Flower Ceremony: Honor survivors and loved ones with a heartfelt tribute on the water.
