LVMPD Trunk or Treat brings a free family Halloween celebration to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Convention Center Area Command on October 29th, 2026. The event runs from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and gives local families a chance to enjoy trick-or-treating, games, food and Halloween activities alongside members of local law enforcement.
The community event is hosted by the LVMPD Convention Center and South Central Area Commands. Families can stop by the outdoor event area next to the police station, where decorated vehicles and activity stations create a neighborhood-style alternative to traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating.
Trunk-or-Treating With LVMPD
The centerpiece of the evening is trunk-or-treating, with children visiting decorated vehicles to collect candy. Costumes are encouraged, giving kids a chance to dress up a few days before Halloween while enjoying a controlled community event.
The format also gives families an opportunity to meet officers and other community participants in a casual setting outside of regular police services.
Free Food, Games and Activities
In addition to candy, the event includes free food, games and family activities. The combination of trick-or-treating and entertainment makes the event suitable for families who want a short Halloween outing without purchasing admission.
Activities are planned during the two-hour event window, so families can arrive anytime between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM and move through the different stations at their own pace.
A Free Community Halloween Event
Admission is completely free, and no paid ticket is required. Families can participate in the trunk-or-treat activities, games and community programming without an entrance fee.
The event is designed for children and families, with an emphasis on a welcoming Halloween environment and positive interaction with local law enforcement.
What to Know Before You Go
The LVMPD Trunk or Treat takes place outdoors, so families should dress for the evening weather. Comfortable shoes are also helpful for walking between decorated vehicles and activity areas.
Because candy and free food may be available while supplies last, arriving earlier in the evening may give families the best chance to enjoy the full selection of activities.
Tickets and Registration
LVMPD Trunk or Treat is free to attend. No general admission ticket is required for families to participate.
