The RiSE Lantern Festival returns to the Mojave Desert from October 3–5, bringing together thousands of locals and visitors just 30 minutes south of the Las Vegas Strip.
This one-of-a-kind event celebrates individuality, music, art, and sustainability through the collective experience of releasing sky lanterns under the desert sky.
Each ticket includes two biodegradable lanterns, a marker for personalized messages, and a ground mat for comfortable seating.
Organized around Leave No Trace principles, every lantern is collected from the surrounding desert after the festival concludes.
Taking place at the Jean Dry Lakebed, the festival is carefully designed in the shape of a compass, symbolizing the natural progression of day into night.
Festivities begin in the afternoon with live music, local food trucks, refreshing drinks, and art installations—perfect for connecting with friends and fellow festival-goers.
As evening settles behind the desert mountains, RiSE hosts guide you in lighting and releasing your lantern in sync with the music, creating a breathtaking display of floating lights overhead.
Throughout the venue, “Village” areas at the North and South ends provide restrooms, additional food and drink options, shaded seating, and merchant vendors.
- Shuttles run from Mandalay Bay Road outside the main Delano entrance for an additional fee; parking passes for personal vehicles at the lakebed are available for $30.
- Please note that RVs and all rideshare services (Uber, Lyft, etc.) are not permitted.
- Tickets range from $79 (Child) to $729 per person and can be purchased for Friday or Saturday night (October 3 or 4).
- Experience a truly magical desert evening during this awe-inspiring celebration of hope, unity, and wonder, where your personal wishes and messages take flight.
