We had been hearing about Yo Mochi for weeks, and the kids were basically pacing the kitchen waiting for their turn to try mochi donuts.

When the Boca Park location opened in Summerlin, we finally made the trip—and the anticipation turned into a fun family dessert outing.

The shop was not especially large, but it focused on the essentials: fresh, chewy mochi donuts, savory mochi dogs, and several other mochi-inspired treats that made it easy to spend extra time browsing the display.

While waiting for an order—or after finishing dessert—the kids could head over to the claw machines or play classic arcade games like Mario, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, and more.

During our visit: The claw machines and arcade games accepted quarters, and the games our kids chose cost $1 per try. Bringing quarters made things easier since the counter did not always have enough available for the claw machines.

What We Ordered First

We kept our order classic enough for the kids while still trying a few fun flavors. Six donuts came home with us for dessert, including a Churro Mochi Donut, Cocoa Pebbles, and Cookies & Cream.

By the time dinner reached the table, everyone was already looking ahead to those donuts.

Yo Mochi Donuts We Tried

Churro Mochi Donut

This one delivered the familiar cinnamon-and-sugar flavor of a churro with the signature chewy texture of mochi. It was familiar enough for picky eaters while still feeling different from a traditional donut.

Cocoa Pebbles

The Cocoa Pebbles donut brought together color, crunch, and a familiar cereal flavor. The topping provided extra texture while the mochi base remained light and chewy.

Cookies & Cream

Cookie crumbles over a smooth glaze delivered that familiar cookies-and-cream flavor without making the donut feel overly heavy. The chewy mochi ring also made it easy to pull apart and share.

Savory Break: Yo Mochi Dogs & More

The menu was not limited to sweets. Mochi dogs offered a savory alternative, combining the idea of a corn dog with a crisp and chewy exterior.

The savory options made it possible to turn the visit into more than a quick dessert stop, especially for families trying to balance the sweets with something more substantial.

Another unexpected option was the Mochi Waffles. Light and chewy, they carried the same signature mochi texture in a different form and worked well as either a snack on their own or a base for sweeter toppings.

Beyond its mochi creations, the Boca Park shop also stocked unique Japanese snacks such as Turtle Chips, Matcha Bites, and other packaged treats.

That grab-and-go selection made it easy to bring part of the experience home or let the kids choose something unfamiliar to try later.

Kid Appeal on Lock: Games & Wiggles

The combination of claw machines and classic arcade favorites such as Mario, Pac-Man, and Donkey Kong turned waiting for dessert into part of the outing.

For families, the games provided just enough entertainment to break up the visit while adults had time to look through the donut flavors and menu.

During our visit, bringing quarters helped. Most of the games our kids played cost $1 per try, so having change ready avoided the scramble at the counter.

The prices felt approachable during our visit, the atmosphere was casual, and the treats earned approval from the kids.
