Before Las Vegas’s population explosion, people had to fly abroad to find great European food. Today, thanks to the city’s melting pot culture, great European food is easily available throughout the city.
One restaurant bringing Bulgaria’s best bites is Beso Restaurant. This spot masterfully blends Eastern European charm with modern flair, creating a dining experience you won’t forget.
A Green Gateway to an Eastern European Escape
Step into Beso Restaurant, and you’re greeted by walls alive with lush greenery. It’s like walking into a secret garden. This fresh and colorful entryway sets the stage for what’s to come.
Once inside, the main dining floor takes over the front entrance area, creating a sophisticated and inviting environment. During my visit, an engagement party filled the air with laughter and music. A live DJ and colorful lights turned the night into a celebration.
Even without events, the space is cozy and intimate. The warm glow of the dinner table lighting feels perfect for a romantic date, while European-inspired art decorates the walls with charm.
As a Latino, it can be tough to try other culture’s foods outside of your comfort. I’m glad that I visited Beso Restaurant because Bulgarian food is actually quite good! I was on a date night here with my Eastern European girlfriend and she showed me the ropes for Eastern foods. From the food to the service, everything came together well.
This mix of energy and intimacy prepares you for the menu delights ahead.
Beso’s Menu Full of Bulgarian Dishes
Beso’s menu celebrates European-inspired dishes with an emphasis on flavor and presentation. Starting with the bread & butter, I was impressed by the creamy butter with a Bulgarian twist.
The cheese has a different taste and can closely resemble a mix of butter and cream cheese. However, just because it’s different doesn’t mean it’s bad. It’s actually quite delicious!
The Traditional Kashkaval Cheese Pane was crispy and light, complemented by french fries. This is a popular dish that’s lightly breaded and fried with Kashkaval cheese.
For something fresh, the Shopska Salad, with its mix of tomatoes, cucumbers, and feta, was refreshingly simple yet delicious.
The entrees truly stole the show. The Cevapi links, a classic Eastern European favorite, were tender and flavorful without being overly salty.
Cevapi is a mix of beef and pork meat and then rolled into small links or sausages. It’s then paired with a large piece of bread to complement the onions and special sauce.
But the highlight for me was the 16 oz. Beef Porterhouse. Grilled to perfection and seasoned simply with salt and pepper, it was tender, juicy, and satisfying.
Each bite melted in my mouth, and the portion size was so generous that I couldn’t finish some of the appetizers. This food journey sets the stage for something equally enticing: drinks!
Raise a Glass to Flavorful Drinks
The drinks at Beso are just as memorable as the food. To experience Bulgaria, start with a Kamenitza beer. This light, straw-colored brew is easy to drink and pairs perfectly with appetizers.
If beer isn’t your style, the bar offers an extensive selection of European liquors. From tequila to whiskey, they’ve got all the essentials for a great night. Don’t hesitate to ask the bartenders for a custom cocktail—they’re experts at crafting drinks that suit your taste.
The drinks at Beso are more than just beverages—they’re the perfect complement to the meal and the atmosphere.
A Lounge Worth Dining In
Beso’s bar and lounge area exudes sophistication and charm. The wine racks, stocked with everything from affordable bottles to fine vintages, are a sight to see. Thoughtful design ensures that even a casual drink feels like an event.
The bar’s seating offers a perfect spot to unwind, whether you’re chatting with friends or enjoying a quiet moment alone. The bartenders are warm and welcoming, adding to the space’s inviting vibe.
The backroom dining area provides a cozy retreat for those who prefer a quieter experience. With multiple TVs and elegant decor, it’s ideal for a more personal dinner or catching a game with friends.
No matter where you sit, Beso’s ambiance makes every corner feel special.
