Some restaurants just naturally work for group gatherings. The kind of place where the table fills with plates, people reach across for another slice, and conversations overlap while the food keeps coming out.
That was the scene when we visited Good Pie in Henderson. The night brought together a mix of family birthdays, which made pizza the obvious centerpiece. Big tables, shareable dishes, and a relaxed dining room made it easy for everyone to settle in and enjoy the evening.
Good Pie has already built a reputation around Las Vegas for its East Coast inspired pies, joining other popular pizza spots like Twisted Sourdough Pizza.
It feels like a modern neighborhood pizzeria with classic touches that make the space comfortable and lively.
A Classic Pizzeria Feel
Walking inside, the room feels warm and inviting. Wood tables fill the dining room, paired with bentwood chairs and red checkered napkins that immediately hint at old school Italian-American pizzeria style.
Along one wall sits a long burgundy booth with a collage of framed photos hanging above it. The wall display adds personality to the room and makes the dining area feel like it has been part of the neighborhood for years.
Pendant lights hang from the ceiling, casting a warm glow across the dining room. Toward the back, the bar stretches across the wall with bottles stacked neatly on wooden shelves and taps ready to pour.
The space feels casual but intentional, similar to the laid-back vibe you find at places like Lucille’s Smokehouse nearby.
The Table Starts Filling Up
We opened the meal with an order of Calamari. The East Coast squid came lightly fried and served with marinara, chili flakes, and a bright lemon wedge.

The rings had a light crunch and stayed tender inside. A quick squeeze of lemon over the top added just enough brightness, while the marinara gave it a classic pizzeria style finish.
It was the kind of appetizer that disappears quickly once it hits the table, similar to the shareable starters we found at Summer House.
Classic Italian Comfort Hits the Table
Next came two classic Italian-American staples: meatballs and garlic knots.
The meatballs are made from a beef and pork blend and served with marinara, pecorino, and parsley. They arrived rich and tender, coated in a bright tomato sauce.
The garlic knots leaned heavily into garlic in the best way possible. Roasted garlic, garlic puree, and garlic oil all show up here, finished with pecorino, parsley, and marinara on the side.
Soft inside and lightly crisp outside, they were perfect for tearing apart and dipping.
Something Fresh Between the Pizza
To balance out the heavier dishes, we added a Caesar salad for the table.

Crisp romaine leaves were tossed with creamy dressing, parmesan, and croutons. It offered a refreshing contrast between bites of pizza and appetizers.
The Grandma Pie Steals Attention
One of the standout pizzas of the night was the Grandma White Pie.
This pizza arrives in a large rectangular pan, cut into eight slices. The grandma style crust has a crisp bottom with a slightly airy interior.

Fresh garlic, mozzarella, pecorino, ricotta flowers, garlic oil, parsley, and shaved parmesan layer across the top. Each bite leaned savory and rich while still feeling balanced.
It was one of those pizzas where every slice disappears faster than expected.
Brooklyn Pies Take Over the Table
Good Pie also shines with its Brooklyn style pizzas, which bring a thinner crust and classic New York inspiration.
The Brooklyn Quality Meats Pizza loaded the pie with sausage, ham, meatballs, and pepperoni over mozzarella and tomato sauce.
It delivered exactly what you expect from a meat lover’s pizza. Savory, filling, and built for sharing.
We also ordered a classic Brooklyn Cheese pizza.
Sometimes simplicity wins. Fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, basil, and parmesan allowed the crust and sauce to stand out without distraction.
An Italian Margarita in the Mix
Drinks also made their way around the table, including a bright pink Italian Margarita served over ice with a lime garnish.

The Italian Margarita added a refreshing contrast to the rich food, similar to some of the cocktail options we tried during a visit to The Oak Room.
A Henderson Spot Made for Groups
Part of what makes Good Pie work so well is how naturally the menu fits group dining. Between appetizers, salads, and large pizzas, it becomes easy to build a table full of food without overthinking the order.
That atmosphere made it the perfect choice for our family gathering. Plates moved around the table, slices kept getting passed, and conversations stretched well beyond the first round of food.
Pizza has always had a way of bringing people together, and Good Pie leans fully into that idea. It feels casual, welcoming, and built for moments when the table is full and nobody is in a hurry to leave.
Henderson continues to build a strong lineup of local restaurants, from pizza spots like Good Pie to places like Flower Child.
By the end of the night, the table had gone from full to empty, with only a few crumbs and plates left behind. The kind of ending that usually means the restaurant did its job well.
