Las Vegas Brewing Company: Beer & Chips

Las Vegas Brewing Company

Some places just hit the right notes the moment you walk in, and Las Vegas Brewing Company on Tenaya is one of them. After a long motorcycle ride down from the crisp air of Mount Charleston, the thought of a cold beer and hearty food felt like the perfect follow-up.

The building itself makes a bold impression with its palm-lined entrance and modern industrial look, and once you step inside, it has all the energy you want from a neighborhood brewery: TVs lit up with football, the sound of beer being poured, and a mix of locals settling into barstools or tables.

But the beauty of the place is that it doesn’t just lean on atmosphere—it backs it up with food and drinks that feel thoughtfully built, not just thrown together.

Fish and Chips, Brewpub Style

Motty and I both ordered the Brewpub Fish & Chips, and from the first bite, it was clear this was a dish designed for comfort and balance. The fish came wrapped in a crisp Electric Blonde Ale batter, fried golden but not heavy.

A grilled lemon wedge rested on top, waiting to be squeezed over, brightening every bite with citrus. The plate was rounded out with a pile of seasoned crinkle fries, a cup of coleslaw, and a side of lemon caper pickle mayo that added a tangy, zesty punch. It wasn’t just fried fish—it was fried fish elevated, a dish that clearly benefited from being tied to the brewery’s beer lineup.

Golden, crispy fish and chips served with lemon caper pickle mayo, slaw, and crinkle-cut fries.

“This wasn’t your standard fish and chips—lightly crispy on the outside, flaky fish inside, and the lemon caper mayo made it pop in a way I didn’t expect.”

The serving leaned hearty but not overwhelming, which is a tough balance to strike. Sitting outside in the sun with a beer flight on the table, the fish and chips felt exactly like the right order.

A Tour of the Beers

If you’re at a brewery, skipping a flight almost feels wrong. I went with a four-pour lineup that showcased a range of styles:

  • Electric Blonde: The house favorite, light, crisp, and endlessly drinkable. It set the standard for the menu and proved why it’s popular enough to batter the fish in.
  • Retro Glow: A maltier option, with more depth than the blonde. It carried a slight sweetness that paired nicely with fries and slaw.
  • IFYKYK Emerald City: A hoppy, citrus-forward beer that gave off bold notes of pine and grapefruit. It was sharp and refreshing without being overwhelming.
  • The Tangerine Man: The standout of the group, bursting with juicy fruit character and an almost playful finish. It leaned more toward fun than heavy-hitting, but that’s exactly why it worked.

Even though I’m not usually a stout drinker, curiosity won, and I asked for a sample of their 1677 Stout (Nitro). It surprised me in the best way, smooth, creamy, and layered with coffee and chocolate tones.

Not my go-to, but it proved the range of their brewing. Meanwhile, Motty kept it simple with a pint of Electric Blonde, a smart choice that worked effortlessly with his fish and chips.

“I already knew I didn’t love stouts, but their nitro pour had me rethinking it—silky, chocolatey, and smoother than I expected.”

Sweet Ending with Sticky Toffee Pudding

No pub meal feels complete without dessert, and the Sticky Toffee Pudding sealed the visit perfectly. The menu described it with Jameson Black Barrel toffee sauce and vanilla whipped cream, though they were out of whipped cream that day. Instead, the kitchen swapped in a scoop of vanilla ice cream—a substitution that worked beautifully.

The warmth of the cake, dripping with toffee, met the cold ice cream in a combination that was rich but not cloying. Each spoonful felt indulgent yet balanced, the kind of dessert that lingers in memory.

“Warm sponge, sweet sauce, and cold ice cream melting into it—that’s the kind of dessert you wish every pub would do.”

Inside the Brewery

Part of what makes Las Vegas Brewing Company fun is the setting itself. The main dining room has the buzz of a sports bar, with big screens lined up across the walls and locals watching games over pints. But unlike a lot of sports bars, there’s a visible brewery space behind glass panels, reminding you this isn’t just another beer-serving spot—this is where the beer is made.

It adds authenticity, and it makes every sip feel a little more rooted in the place. The bar area was packed during the game, with bartenders hustling to keep the taps flowing. It’s lively inside, but that’s the charm. If you want the energy of a crowd, you sit inside. If you want fresh air, you head out back.

The outdoor patio was where Motty and I settled, shaded by palms and lined with string lights. It gave us the perfect vantage point to relax, away from the screens but still tied to the atmosphere of the brewery. The hum of traffic on Tenaya mixed with conversation and the clink of glasses—it all felt easy and right.

A Spot That Balances Comfort and Craft

What struck me most about Las Vegas Brewing Company is how it balances comfort food staples with craft beer creativity. You can go as simple as a pint and a burger, or you can take your time through flights, specialty dishes, and desserts.

The front entrance of Las Vegas Brewing Company welcomes visitors with bold signage and clean architecture.

The menu shows versatility, with flatbreads, wraps, and burgers designed to pair well with the rotating tap list. It’s not just a beer-first, food-second kind of place. Both are given equal weight, which makes it a better experience than many breweries that lean too heavily one way.

“Las Vegas Brewing Company doesn’t just pour beer, it manages to capture the feeling of a true neighborhood spot. Between the balanced beers, hearty plates like the fish and chips, and a dessert that makes you linger longer than you planned, it creates a dining experience that feels complete from start to finish.”

Why It’s Worth the Stop

By the time we wrapped up our meal, the sun was dipping lower, the patio had filled with a few more groups, and the inside bar was roaring with football energy.

For me, Las Vegas Brewing Company felt like the kind of place you can return to for different moods: an afternoon flight with friends, a game-day crowd inside, or a date-night dinner outside with craft beer and dessert. It has range, but more importantly, it has personality.

The outdoor patio offers shaded seating with a view of Summerlin, perfect for game day afternoons.

Summerlin has plenty of places to grab a drink, but few that capture the mix of local craft, casual atmosphere, and well-built food quite like this.

“At the end of the night, Las Vegas Brewing Company left me with that rare combination of satisfaction and curiosity—the feeling that I’d happily come back to try more, whether for the beer, the food, or simply the easy comfort of the patio.”
