Top Sushi & Oyster Sahara: AYCE Sushi in Las Vegas

My daughter is a sushi superfan. She isn’t a big eater, but when a new sushi spot catches her attention, it quickly becomes the only restaurant she wants to talk about. That is how we first ended up at Top Sushi & Oyster Sahara, the West Sahara location near Tenaya.

We originally visited in October 2025 and returned again on June 25, 2026. What makes Top Sushi & Oyster memorable is that it feels like more than a quick AYCE stop. The restaurant is large and energetic, with two sushi chef stations, multiple seating areas, private dining space, and a menu that moves between traditional nigiri, specialty rolls, cooked dishes, and over-the-top baked creations.

The atmosphere is lively, the room photographs well, and the menu gives both adventurous sushi eaters and people who stick with familiar favorites plenty to choose from.

Top Sushi & Oyster offers all-you-can-eat sushi along with à la carte ordering. We went with AYCE, which gave us the freedom to work through nigiri, baked rolls, crispy rice, and cooked dishes without everyone at the table needing to order the same thing.

Inside Top Sushi & Oyster Sahara

The first thing you notice is the decor. Lanterns hang beneath a canopy of pink and white cherry-blossom-style flowers, creating a colorful ceiling that immediately gives the restaurant some personality.

The presentation follows the same approach. Many specialty rolls arrive layered with sauces, toppings, crispy textures, and baked or torched finishes. If you prefer something simpler, there are also traditional nigiri, classic rolls, appetizers, and cooked entrées.

Service was another memorable part of our experience. Even with a busy dining room, the team kept checking tables, clearing plates, and moving orders along without making us feel rushed.

The private dining areas also make the restaurant useful for birthdays, family dinners, and small group celebrations.

Top Sushi & Oyster Sahara AYCE Menu and Prices

During our original June 2026 visit, Top Sushi & Oyster offered multiple AYCE options along with à la carte ordering. The pricing posted during that visit was:

• Kids under 8: $21.99
• Weekday Lunch AYCE: $30.99
• Dinner AYCE: $34.99 or $38.99

The higher dinner tier included additional specialty selections at the time. Because AYCE pricing and included dishes can change, use those numbers as a record of what we saw during our visit rather than guaranteed current pricing.

What We Ordered at Top Sushi & Oyster

We started simply with Seaweed Salad for me and Salmon Nigiri for my daughter. From there, the meal quickly moved into baked rolls, crispy rice, and some of the richer specialty options.

Our Table’s Favorites

• Baked Lobster: Rich, creamy, and one of the more indulgent rolls we ordered.
• Japanese Lasagna: Warm, saucy, and layered with baked flavors that move well beyond traditional sushi.
• Baked Alaskan: Another warm roll with a toasted finish that disappeared quickly at our table.
• Spicy Crispy Rice: One of my favorites because of the contrast between crunchy rice and the spicy topping.
• Deep Fried Philadelphia: Creamy inside with a lightly crisp exterior.
• Teriyaki Chicken: An easy cooked option when someone at the table wants a break from sushi.

I am not normally someone who can work through endless plates at an AYCE restaurant, but the menu made it tempting to keep adding another roll. I probably ordered one or two dishes more than I needed, so my advice is simple: pace yourself.

A Sushi Restaurant That Works for Groups

Top Sushi & Oyster worked especially well for us because the menu did not force everyone into the same type of meal. Sushi fans can move through rolls and nigiri, while appetizers and cooked dishes give less adventurous diners plenty of alternatives.

During our visits, the size of the restaurant also stood out. Two chef areas help keep food moving, while separate seating sections make the dining room feel more flexible than one large open space.

The birthday celebrations are not subtle. Staff members come together, the energy jumps, and suddenly everyone nearby knows somebody is celebrating. For our family, that fit the personality of the restaurant.

Top Sushi & Oyster sits near Tenaya and Sahara, putting it within easy reach of several west-side Japanese restaurants we have visited.

Sushi Loca in Downtown Summerlin offers sushi, sashimi, specialty rolls, noodles, and cooked entrées in a neighborhood setting. At Boca Park, Sushi Tanuki takes a different approach with sushi, ramen, Japanese curry, and other cooked dishes.

Service and Location

AYCE restaurants can become chaotic once orders begin stacking up, but our experience stayed organized. Servers checked on us regularly, cleared finished plates, and kept the next rounds moving without hovering.

Top Sushi & Oyster Sahara is at 7293 W Sahara Avenue, Suite 10, near Tenaya. For west-side residents, that makes it an easy sushi option without driving toward Chinatown or the Strip.

The restaurant also works well when people are meeting from different parts of the west valley. Parking was straightforward during our visits, and the location can work just as easily for a casual lunch as it does for a birthday or family dinner.

Is Top Sushi & Oyster Sahara Worth Visiting?

If you like specialty rolls, baked sushi, crispy rice, and the freedom to sample several dishes in one meal, Top Sushi & Oyster Sahara gives you plenty to work through. The à la carte menu also makes it easier when not everyone at the table wants AYCE.

Our second visit on June 25, 2026 also gave us another reason to keep this restaurant in our west-side sushi rotation rather than treating the original visit as a one-time stop.

What I’ll Remember Most

For me, Top Sushi & Oyster Sahara is not simply about getting as much sushi as possible. The fun is being able to move between simple nigiri, baked specialty rolls, crispy rice, and cooked dishes while enjoying a dining room with plenty of personality.

My daughter got the sushi night she wanted, I found several rolls I would order again, and the restaurant gave us enough reason to return. The cherry-blossom-style ceiling makes the first impression, but it is the combination of food, presentation, atmosphere, and service that made Top Sushi & Oyster worth another visit.
