Walking into 85°C Bakery Cafe in Enterprise, the first thing that stands out is the aroma—a blend of freshly baked bread, rich coffee, and caramelized sugar. The space is warm and inviting, with wooden accents and a sleek, modern design. This isn’t just a bakery. It’s an experience!
A Self-Guided Pastry Adventure
Unlike a traditional bakery where everything is ordered from behind the counter, 85°C Bakery Cafe allows customers to explore at their own pace. Near the entrance, trays and tongs wait by the door, an open invitation to browse the shelves and choose from an ever-changing selection of pastries.
Every few minutes, a baker rolls out a fresh batch, sending another wave of warmth through the air. Some pastries disappear almost as fast as they arrive. A fresh tray of marble taro buns might be gone within minutes, while classic favorites like brioche and egg tarts are constantly being restocked.
The best part is seeing them bring out fresh trays right in front of you. There’s something satisfying about knowing your pastry just came out of the oven.
The setup makes the experience interactive—there’s no rush and no pressure to decide immediately. It’s common to see customers swapping out choices at the last minute or standing by the shelves, waiting to grab something still warm.
After choosing your pastries, touchscreen kiosks allow customers to order drinks in advance, skipping the main line and picking them up when ready. The main register, located near the cake display, is where pastries and hot food items are purchased.
Each pastry is individually wrapped and placed into a small bag at checkout. Hot sandwiches can be toasted upon request, with customers receiving a number to pick up their food once it’s ready.
The ordering system makes it easy, even when it’s busy. You don’t feel rushed, and everything is packed up neatly so nothing gets squished.
Shelves Stocked with Savory Goodness
With over 50 varieties of bread and pastries, the selection covers everything from buttery croissants to savory stuffed rolls. First-time visitors might feel overwhelmed by the choices, but regulars have their favorites down to a science.
Some of the standouts include:
- Matcha Choco Bun – A soft green tea-infused bread with a rich matcha cream center and melted chocolate.
- Ube Bread – Light, fluffy, and filled with smooth ube cream with delicate purple stripes on top.
- Potato Croquette – A chewy bread coated in crispy breadcrumbs stuffed with mashed potatoes, corn, and veggies.
- Cinnamon Twist – Flaky and crunchy, braided with cinnamon paste and a dusting of sugar.
- Boroh Danish – A bakery classic featuring a sweet, crumbly crust on top of a soft pastry.
- Spicy Sausage – A soft roll wrapped around a sausage, topped with cheese, mayonnaise, and a drizzle of Sriracha.
I always grab at least three things, even when I tell myself I won’t. There’s just no way to walk out of here with only one pastry.
The appeal goes beyond just taste—there’s a balance of textures in each pastry. Some are buttery and flaky, others chewy with a crisp crust. Many feature fillings that surprise on the first bite, like melted chocolate, custard, or taro cream.
Then there are the seasonal items. Limited-time flavors, holiday-themed pastries, and specialty ingredients keep things fresh. A winter menu might include chestnut cream puffs and matcha red bean rolls, while summer brings mango mousse and lychee-flavored desserts.
Beyond Pastries: Cakes & Drinks
Near the register, a glass display case showcases an array of beautifully crafted cakes. Whether it’s a full-size Mango Crème Brûlée Cake or a neatly portioned Matcha Mousse Cup, every dessert looks like it belongs in a high-end patisserie. The options range from light and airy to rich and decadent.
The cakes are always tempting. Even when I come in just for pastries, I end up staring at the display case for way too long.
The lattes and drinks are just as much of a draw as the baked goods, with a menu that blends classic flavors with unique creations:
- Sea Salt Caramel Coffee – A deep espresso flavor balanced with creamy, slightly salty foam.
- Sea Salt Jasmine Green Tea – Light, floral, and subtly sweet.
- Lychee Green Tea – Refreshing with a gentle fruitiness.
- Red Grapefruit Green Tea – Bright, citrusy, and energizing.
- Boba Milk Tea – A classic with the perfect balance of tea and sweetness.
- Rose Milk Tea – Smooth and floral, with just the right amount of sweetness.
- Matcha Brûlée Smoothie – A rich and creamy matcha dessert in drink form.
- Taro Lavender Latte – Subtly nutty with a soothing lavender finish.
- Strawberry Matcha Latte – A layered, Instagram-worthy drink with fresh strawberry puree.
I don’t think I’ve ever walked out of here without a drink. The sea salt coffee is one of my go-tos, but the taro lavender latte? That one’s been a recent obsession.
The ability to customize drinks is another perk. Extra sweet? Less ice? More boba? Everything is adjustable, making it easy to get the perfect balance of flavors.
A Day-Time Date Spot for Couples
Unlike many grab-and-go bakeries, 85°C Bakery Cafe offers a comfortable seating area, making it an ideal spot to sit down with a coffee and pastry with your loved one. The space is bright and modern, with wooden paneling and plenty of natural light streaming in.
It’s the kind of place where you just lose track of time. You grab a pastry, take a sip of your coffee, and before you know it, an hour has gone by. I’ve been here plenty of times with my girlfriend, and it’s one of our favorite day-time date spots.
Some visitors settle in with laptops, others chat with friends, and many simply enjoy their food in peace. There’s a steady hum of background noise, but it never feels overwhelming.
For those who prefer to take their pastries home, everything is packed neatly in a signature 85°C bag, keeping each item protected.
Gather Over Desserts, Pastries & More
With its ever-changing selection of fresh pastries, handcrafted drinks, and welcoming atmosphere, 85°C Bakery Cafe has built a loyal following. Whether stopping in for a quick breakfast, an afternoon treat, or a relaxed spot to unwind, it delivers on all fronts.
The name itself comes from the idea that 85°C (185°F) is the perfect temperature for brewing coffee, but the bakery has become more than just a place for caffeine.
It’s a destination for anyone who loves pastries, a go-to for late-night dessert runs, and a reliable spot for something both familiar and new.
The hardest part is deciding what to get. There’s always something I want to try, but at the same time, I don’t want to skip my favorites. That’s why I always end up leaving with more than I planned.
