Lock, Load & Let Loose At Battlefield Vegas

Battlefield Vegas

Some places are built to entertain. Others are built to leave an impression. Battlefield Vegas does both, combining hands-on shooting experiences with real military gear and history. During a birthday weekend, I visited this shooting range that allows you to shoot an automatic assault rifle, and even crush a car with a tank!

Shoot Like a Soldier, Stand With Veterans

Battlefield Vegas is more than a shooting range—it’s a full-scale military compound. It’s located on Sammy Davis Drive, just steps behind Circus Circus and Resorts World.

The five-acre property looks and feels like a forward operating base that includes a lounge, gear shop, and other amenities. Military vehicles line the entrance, including a Huey helicopter that once flew missions in Vietnam.

Many staff members are veterans, and the business proudly gives back to the veteran community. From every angle, you can tell this place was built with deep military respect.

That respect is also transferred to each guest who visits this shooting range. This place gives people who want to experience what it feels like to shoot an automatic assault rifle, even extreme activities like shooting explosive mortar rounds, or sit behind a military tank!

You’re not just firing weapons—you’re stepping into a world shaped by service. That authentic approach extends into the guns, the uniforms, and the vibe on site.

Choose Your Weapon—Literally!

While guns are the main focus at Battlefield Vegas, safety takes priority above anything else. After checking in, you wait until your shooting lane and weapon of choice are available.

Then, a shooting instructor informs you about gun safety, ear protection, and shooting range etiquette. Once informed, the instructor handles all weapons and even loads them for you. This lets the shooter not worry about anything else besides shooting some guns!

If you’ve ever wanted to shoot a specific gun, chances are it’s here. You don’t have to buy a big package—you can pick and choose individual guns. The pistols are the most affordable, starting low enough to try a few without burning your wallet.

When you rent an automatic gun, you get two magazines. The first magazine is single-fire, so you can feel the weapon before going full-auto. The second magazine is put into full-auto to unleash the weapon to its full speed!

They offer legendary firearms like the Glock 18, Colt 1911, and Smith & Wesson 500 revolver. You can also go bigger with full-auto rifles like the H&K MP5, the AK-47, or even vintage WWII pieces like the M1 Garand.

That was one of our favorites. Shooting the M1 Garand felt like holding history. The famous ‘ping’ after the clip gets ejected was worth every penny!

Then we went full-auto on the MP5 9mm, and I’ve never felt something so smooth yet aggressive. The MP5 is one of the most-used weapons in Hollywood and video games for a reason. It’s light, accurate, and has minimal recoil.

Switching over to the AK-47 was raw power—louder, heavier, meaner. It definitely does have some kick to it, so if you don’t have enough strength to handle a higher caliber weapon like the AK-47 then don’t do it. If you do, then it’s totally worth it!

It was an unforgettable lineup, and you can go as light or heavy as you like. This flexibility makes it easy to tailor your experience.

Shooting Packages From Video Games to Vietnam

If you want to go all in, Battlefield Vegas has themed packages. They’ve designed experiences based on famous video games and historical battles. The Black Ops Gamer Experience puts you behind an AK-47, Uzi, MP5, and Colt Commando.

There’s even a Call of Duty-inspired package with SCARs, M4s, and AK-74s. For history buffs, you can fire WWII Russian rifles in the Defending Stalingrad Experience or go full Vietnam-era with The Platoon Experience.

There’s a certain weight to holding weapons tied to real-world conflicts. Each package brings you closer to a story, whether it’s fiction or fact. That range of choice—fictional to historic—is what makes these moments memorable!

Go Bigger: Tanks, Mini-Guns, Mortars, and Fire

Battlefield Vegas doesn’t stop at guns. They offer once-in-a-lifetime outdoor packages that go well beyond the range. There’s a tank experience where you crush a full-size car under a real military vehicle.

They’ve taken a Chieftain Mk8 and transformed it into a replica M1A1 Abrams. It’s massive. You get trained and then command the tank yourself.

There’s also a separate M60A1 mini-gun experience where you fire modern belt-fed weapons and get behind a massive 105mm gun. If that’s not enough, try the mini-gun.

It’s the only one open to the public in Vegas and fires over 4,000 rounds per minute. You feel it in your chest. You can even fire a 60mm WWII-era mortar or unleash a five-gallon flamethrower.

Yes, they strap it on you. Yes, it’s safe. Yes, it’s terrifying in the best way. It’s rare to find this level of access for civilians.

These shooting packages are done in Battlefield Vegas’s outdoor range to provide maximum safety away from city limits.

Fuel Up at the Battlefield Brew Coffee Company

After the chaos, you can chill out with a latte. Right on site is the Battlefield Brew Coffee Company. It’s not just some vending machine setup—this place serves handcrafted drinks worthy of any trendy coffee shop.

You can get nitro brew, iced lattes, cappuccinos, chai, or a honey bomb espresso. They even offer smoothies and hot chocolate if you’re not a coffee fan. It’s a smart way to cool down, caffeinate, and process what you just experienced before heading to your next adventure.

Gear Up With Everything Tactical

Battlefield Vegas doesn’t just hand you a gun and send you off to shoot. They give you the chance to suit up like you’re stepping into real combat. Inside their gear shop, you’ll find everything from tactical gloves and protective eyewear to full-on military-style apparel.

They sell durable T-shirts, combat boots, and hats that are more than just souvenirs—they’re built for serious use.

You can even pick up an MRE if you’re curious to taste what soldiers eat in the field. The gear is real, rugged, and practical for anyone who takes shooting seriously or wants to look the part.

Whether you’re prepping for the range or picking up gifts for someone who loves all things tactical, there’s no shortage of useful gear and authentic accessories.

It’s one more reason this experience feels real from start to finish, with everything you need before and after you pull the trigger.

And of course, no shooting experience isn’t complete without a photo. Battlefield has photo-op booths located throughout the complex to take pictures with prop weapons for your unforgettable outing!

Plan Your Mission and Make It Count

Battlefield Vegas is unlike anything else in Las Vegas. It mixes serious firepower with authentic military respect. Whether you want to casually shoot a pistol, fire a flamethrower, or roll over a car in a tank, they’ve got it.

The activities range from quick and affordable to outrageous and unforgettable. If you’re looking to do something you can’t do anywhere else in Vegas, this is the spot.

Just make sure to book ahead online, especially for tanks or explosive experiences.
