Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival transforms Sunset Park into a 16th-century-inspired village from October 9th through October 11th, 2026. The three-day outdoor festival features full-contact jousting, historical reenactments, live music, performers, artisan vendors, medieval demonstrations and Renaissance-style food and drinks.
Festival gates are open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Friday and Saturday and from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sunday. The event is organized by Clark County Parks & Recreation and is designed as a family-friendly mix of history, fantasy and live entertainment.
Full-Contact Jousting and Medieval Entertainment
Full-contact jousting tournaments are one of the signature attractions at the Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival. Knights compete in live demonstrations while entertainers perform throughout the grounds.
The festival lineup also includes belly dancers, magicians, comedians, Celtic rock bands and a live bird show. Entertainment takes place throughout the day, giving visitors multiple performances to catch while exploring the festival.
Living-History Guilds and Demonstrations
Living-history guilds create encampments throughout Sunset Park, helping recreate elements of life during the Renaissance period. Guests can walk through the camps, interact with participants and learn more about historical clothing, traditions and everyday activities.
Demonstrations include blacksmithing and archery, while Pirate’s Port adds games and pirate-themed entertainment to the festival experience.
More Than 100 Artisans and Merchants
The marketplace includes more than 100 artisans selling handmade products and Renaissance-inspired merchandise. Visitors can shop for jewelry, costumes, leatherwork, forged iron, artwork and other specialty items.
Many vendors create or demonstrate their work at the festival, giving shoppers an opportunity to speak directly with artisans while browsing items that fit the medieval and fantasy theme.
Turkey Legs, Meat Pies, Mead and More
Food and beverages are available throughout the festival, with choices inspired by the Renaissance setting. Popular options include turkey legs, meat pies, English ales and mead, along with nonalcoholic beverages and other festival food.
Guests age 21 and older can also purchase admission to additional experiences such as a guided pub crawl and whiskey tastings. These activities require separate tickets and valid identification.
Costumes and Weapons Policy
Renaissance and fantasy costumes are welcome, and many visitors dress as knights, royalty, pirates and other period-inspired characters. Guests bringing costume weapons should review the festival’s safety requirements before arriving.
Steel or metal swords, daggers and similar period weapons may be permitted when they are dull, properly sheathed and peace-tied. Sharp or improperly secured weapons are prohibited. All attendees are subject to security screening before entering.
Family Admission and Festival Rules
The Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival welcomes families, and children age 5 and younger receive free admission. Discounted tickets are available for children ages 6 through 11 and seniors age 60 and older. A military discount is available at the box office with qualifying identification.
Pets and emotional support animals are not permitted, although qualified service animals are allowed. The festival also prohibits items including coolers, wagons, lawn chairs and glass containers.
