In solemn remembrance and deep gratitude, the City of Henderson invites the public to attend its annual Purple Heart Day Ceremony on August 7th, 2025, at 8:00 AM.
Held at the Purple Heart Plaza, this heartfelt tribute honors the courageous service members who were wounded or killed in combat while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
A Meaningful Morning of Tribute
This special event, hosted in partnership with Purple Heart Chapter 730, serves as a poignant reminder of the cost of freedom.
Family members, veterans, active-duty military personnel, and community supporters will come together in unity to recognize the bravery and sacrifice of Purple Heart recipients.
The ceremony is a time for reflection, respect, and recognition for those who gave so much in service to their country.
The Purple Heart Plaza
Located in the heart of Henderson, the Purple Heart Plaza is home to the nationally recognized Purple Heart Monument, a symbol of honor and remembrance for combat-wounded veterans.
The Plaza offers visitors a space to reflect on the enduring legacy of those who have served and continues to serve as a permanent reminder of the community’s commitment to its heroes.
Engraved Paver Program
As part of the city’s ongoing tribute, attendees can also participate in the donor brick program.
This initiative allows individuals to purchase personalized engraved pavers that honor a loved one who served in the U.S. military.
These pavers are installed along the walk leading to the monument, creating a lasting and visible expression of respect and remembrance.
