Location: Red Rock Canyon NCA Visitor Center

Celebrate culture, community, and connection to the land at the Red Rock Canyon Winter Gathering, returning on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center. This special family-friendly event invites locals and visitors alike to experience a meaningful day of learning and celebration in one of Southern Nevada’s most beautiful natural settings.

The Winter Gathering highlights Southern Paiute and Hopi culture through powerful Indigenous song, traditional dance, storytelling, and art demonstrations.

Guests of all ages will have the opportunity to engage with living traditions while gaining a deeper appreciation for the people who have stewarded this land for generations.

Throughout the day, Creative Art Workshops will offer hands-on activities perfect for families and curious learners, while frybread demonstrations begin at 11:00 AM, giving attendees a chance to see and learn about this beloved cultural food. Interpretive programs are presented as a free public service, making this an accessible and enriching experience for the entire community.

Visitors should come prepared for winter desert conditions by wearing comfortable footwear, sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses, and by bringing plenty of water.

A Timed Entry Reservation for the Red Rock Canyon Scenic Drive is required and can be secured through recreation.gov.

Whether you’re attending for cultural education, outdoor exploration, or a meaningful Valentine’s Day outing, the Winter Gathering offers a memorable way to connect with Southern Nevada’s heritage.
