Some coffee shops are built around the coffee, while others become neighborhood places where it feels natural to stay awhile. Roma Café manages to be a little of both.

Located on South Hualapai Way in Spring Valley, Roma Café brings together Lavazza espresso, freshly baked pastries, breakfast, lunch, and an Italian-inspired café atmosphere away from the busier parts of Las Vegas.

We returned on February 11, 2026, and what continues to stand out is how easily Roma fits different kinds of visits. You can stop by early for coffee and breakfast, meet someone over lunch, or settle into the bright dining room when you want something more relaxed than a grab-and-go coffee counter.

Italian Café Culture in Spring Valley

Roma Café has deeper roots in the Las Vegas Italian food scene than its neighborhood coffee-shop format might suggest.

According to Roma’s official history, the café was created by a partnership of professional poker players after the group became involved with Roma Deli on Spring Mountain Road. The idea was to expand the Roma name into a European-style café centered around quality coffee and food, and Roma Café officially opened in August 2018.

That connection is still worth knowing. For the full sit-down Italian restaurant experience, we also visited Roma Restaurant & Deli on Spring Mountain Road, while Roma Café offers the lighter coffeehouse side of the family.

The distinction also makes the location easier to understand. Roma Café isn’t in Summerlin; it is on Hualapai Way in Spring Valley, but it is close enough to the west side that Summerlin residents can get there easily.

Lavazza Espresso and Specialty Coffee

Coffee remains one of the main reasons to visit. Roma Café uses Lavazza coffee and offers the familiar Italian café standards, including espresso, macchiato, Americano, cappuccino, latte, and drip coffee.

The menu also stretches beyond the classics. Current specialty drinks include honey lattes, lavender white mocha lattes, Irish cream lattes, matcha, and a rose cappuccino, along with iced drinks and frappes.

For guests who don’t use dairy milk, Roma currently offers almond, coconut, soy, oat, and macadamia-nut alternatives.

Roma works especially well when you want more than a basic cup of coffee without committing to a full restaurant meal. For another neighborhood café experience nearby, Café Lola on Hualapai offers a very different atmosphere centered around brunch, specialty drinks, and its distinctive pink décor.

Breakfast Goes Well Beyond Pastries

Roma Café’s current breakfast menu is much broader than the older version of this story suggested.

Fresh croissants are still part of the experience, but they can also become full breakfast sandwiches. Current combinations include egg and cheese, egg with bacon and cheese, sausage with egg and cheese, and an egg, avocado, pesto, and spinach version.

Bagel sandwiches offer many of the same combinations, while the toast menu includes simple avocado toast and more elaborate options with smoked salmon, Caprese ingredients, ricotta, strawberries, prosciutto, or fresh greens.

That makes Roma useful for several kinds of mornings: a quick espresso and pastry, a light breakfast, or something substantial enough to turn the stop into brunch.

Fresh Pastries and Italian Sweets

The pastry case is another part of the café worth checking before ordering because the selection can vary. Roma’s current menu lists baked goods such as chocolate and almond croissants, biscotti, pound cake, Danish pastries, and cannoli.

If cafés and pastry shops are what you’re exploring around town, our Las Vegas cafés and sweets coverage has more neighborhood options across the valley. For another Italian café experience, Torino Café in Henderson takes the concept in a more northern Italian direction.

Panini, Flatbreads, Salads, and Lunch

One of the things that separates Roma from a typical coffee shop is that the menu continues well beyond breakfast.

The lunch menu currently includes several panini, including turkey with avocado and pesto mayonnaise, a Roma panini with prosciutto di Parma, mozzarella, and roasted peppers, and an Italian sandwich layered with ham, capocollo, salami, mortadella, and provolone.

There are also salads ranging from Caesar and Caprese to spinach and strawberry-prosciutto combinations, plus pasta dishes such as lasagna Bolognese and cheese ravioli.

The flatbread menu is particularly varied. Margherita keeps things traditional, while antipasto, chicken pesto, veggie, lox, BBQ chicken ranch, and strawberry-prosciutto versions move the menu in several different directions.

This means Roma can work as a morning coffee stop and a lunch destination later in the day, rather than feeling like a café where the food menu is an afterthought.

A Comfortable Place to Stay Awhile

During our visits, the atmosphere has been one of Roma Café’s strengths. The room is bright and comfortable, with enough of a neighborhood feel to work equally well for a casual meeting, catching up with someone over coffee, or sitting alone.

That relaxed character is important because Spring Valley has no shortage of restaurants and cafés. Roma doesn’t need to compete by feeling flashy. The combination of coffee, food, pastries, and comfortable seating gives it its own role in the neighborhood.

If you’re spending more time exploring this part of town, Nora’s Italian Cuisine offers a more traditional sit-down Italian experience elsewhere in Spring Valley, while Roma remains better suited to coffee, breakfast, and casual daytime meals.

Our Take on Roma Café

Roma Café works because it doesn’t try to be only one thing. You can walk in for a straightforward espresso, but you can just as easily make a meal out of a breakfast sandwich, avocado toast, panini, salad, pasta, or flatbread.

The Italian influence gives the café its personality, while the larger menu makes it practical for everyday neighborhood visits.

For west-side locals looking for an independently styled café with Italian character, Roma Café remains an easy place to keep in the rotation. It has enough variety for breakfast or lunch, while still feeling completely reasonable when all you want is a cappuccino and something sweet.
