Coffee Religion: A Northern Gem in Centennial Hills

Vanilla Latte and an Almond Croissant from Coffee Religion

Last Sunday delivered picture-perfect riding weather—crisp air, blue skies, and that subtle mountain pull you feel in the northwest.

I planned to meet Yahor at the northern exit toward Mt. Charleston for a quick caffeine rendezvous.

A big part of writing for Everyday.Vegas is stumbling into places that deserve a little spotlight.

This time, the discovery was Coffee Religion in The Village of Centennial Hills—the brand’s newest location, and one that might just become your new weekend ritual.

A Sunday Stop Worth the Ride

Even though Coffee Religion already has a couple of locations across the valley, this one feels special.

The Village Plaza, sitting right next to Centennial Hills Hospital, is like a new heartbeat for the area—a thoughtfully designed pocket of restaurants and cafés that feels more like a community square than a strip mall.

It’s the kind of place that makes you wonder how you didn’t notice it sooner.

The plaza is home to several local favorites—Nittaya’s Little Kitchen, La Cassa De Juliette, Egg Works—and now Coffee Religion adds its own heartbeat to the mix.

When I arrived, the café was buzzing. Normally, I’m not a fan of lines, but with my riding partner’s reputation for tardiness, I had time to spare and to take in the details.

Inside, the design walks a fine line between industrial and inviting: concrete floors, exposed metalwork, and soft wooden accents that warm up the space.

The hum of conversation filled the air—some people tucked behind laptops, others chatting over breakfast, and a few families lingering with kids.

For a moment, it didn’t feel like Vegas at all. It had a slower, almost Utah-like charm that made me want to stay longer than planned.

What to Order: From Signatures to Savory

One look at the menu and you realize why Coffee Religion has such a loyal following. Their drink list goes beyond the basics, offering a collection of signature creations that highlight the baristas’ playful side.

Favorites include the Purple Rain—a smooth lavender and white chocolate latte, the Maple Reeves with maple sweetness and a nutty depth, and Sweet Emotion, a cozy hazelnut and caramel combo that feels like dessert in a cup.

For a true jolt, try the Viet Style Iced Coffee made with rich espresso and condensed milk—it’s bold, sweet, and dangerously easy to drink.

Beyond drinks, the food menu reads like a love letter to comfort with a twist.

On the breakfast side, you’ll find the Ja-Burrito—a hearty wrap stuffed with eggs, hash browns, bacon, cheese, avocado, and house mayo—and the Breakfast at Tiffany’s sandwich, a local favorite.

Lunch-goers can’t go wrong with the Truffle Grilled Cheese, the Japanese-inspired Tamago Sando, or the creamy Lox Actually sandwich with smoked salmon and fromage.

If you lean lighter, the Pear Toast with mascarpone, honey, and cinnamon sugar is a must-try, and their Avocado Toast comes beautifully seasoned and perfectly balanced.

The pastry case is equally tempting—filled with almond croissants, chocolate croissants, scones (sometimes even purple-hued ones), and rotating baked treats like lemon bars and brownies. It’s the kind of lineup that pairs perfectly with a slow morning or an afternoon pick-me-up.

Our Picks and First Sips

I ordered a Vanilla Latte with an Almond Croissant for myself and grabbed a Maple Cinnamon Latte with a Chocolate Croissant for Yahor. Both drinks were balanced and rich, with smooth espresso and perfectly textured milk.

The croissants were warm, flaky, and buttery—the kind you have to dust off your jeans after eating. The flavors hit the mark: comforting, familiar, yet still just refined enough to remind you that this isn’t your average coffee stop.

The Vibe and the People

What really ties the place together is the staff. Mostly in their early twenties, they carry an easy rhythm—friendly, attentive, and clearly proud of where they work.

They handled the busy Sunday crowd like pros, keeping things flowing while still chatting up customers and offering recommendations. The energy was contagious and genuine.

Inside, plenty of seating and natural light make it a comfortable spot for anyone looking to work, read, or just enjoy a quiet cup.

The outdoor seating is equally inviting, especially when the mountain air starts to cool down. It’s a place that fits seamlessly into any kind of day—morning coffee, weekend brunch, or a mid-afternoon pause before heading out again.

“Some things just work—a coffee shop with good coffee, good vibes, and good people. A winning formula.”

Before you head to the mountain

Opening a location in the Village of Centennial Hills was a smart move for Coffee Religion.

The area is growing fast, and this plaza is quickly becoming a community anchor for locals who crave authenticity over flash.

Whether you’re gearing up for a scenic ride, taking a break from errands, or just looking for a place that feels like a getaway without leaving town, this spot delivers exactly what it promises.

So next time you’re in the northwest, grab a Purple Rain or a Viet Style Iced Coffee, pair it with a buttery croissant or truffle sandwich, and take a moment to breathe.

Because sometimes, the best part of the day isn’t the destination—it’s the coffee stop before it.
