On one of the first sunny days of the season, I got a call from a friend: “You’ve gotta try this place.” So I did what any Vegas local on a good-weather day would do — grabbed my helmet, revved the engine, and rolled out for an old-school meet-up that turned into a seriously satisfying lunch at Tachi Ramen & Tea Bar.
It’s located in the booming southwest on Buffalo, just off the 215, and from the outside it plays a sneaky trick on you — a big boba sign makes you think you already know the story.
But step inside, and it quickly becomes clear: this isn’t “just a tea bar.”

A ramen shop that doesn’t look like any ramen shop
Tachi Ramen feels like it was designed for people who want options.
There’s a station for quick boba orders, a full bar for more involved drinks, and a mix of booths and tables that fits everyone — families, friends, solo lunch missions, and anyone who wandered in hungry.
And then there’s the décor. In the corners, you’ll spot metal sculptures that aren’t subtle at all — a Terminator, an Alien, and a few Transformers-like characters that pull your attention so hard you might forget what you planned to order… right up until the food shows up.

The story behind Tachi
Tachi puts a lot of heart into their identity, and their “why” comes through in how they describe the spot.
Rooted in passion, inspired by flavor
According to their website, Tachi was built from a love of Japanese cuisine and a desire to bring bold, comforting flavors to the Las Vegas community — a place where every ramen bowl and boba drink tells a story, grounded in tradition with a modern touch.
Quality first, always
They lean hard into authenticity and consistency — from long-simmered broths to carefully selected ingredients — treating each dish like a craft. Whether you’re stopping in for a fast lunch or making a full-on food trip out of it, the goal is simple: serve it with care, and serve it with heart.
Built for community
Tachi also positions itself as a gathering place for locals and foodies in southwest Las Vegas, with a calm, inviting environment for all ages. They even mention having over 180 five-star reviews, which tracks with the kind of energy you feel when a place is being taken care of.
What we ordered
The menu has plenty of ramen options, and it’s the kind of spot where sides aren’t an afterthought — they’re the “don’t skip this” part of the meal. We went in hungry and built a lineup that hit crispy, savory, and comforting all in one run.

Start with the crunchy stuff
Chicken karaage
Japanese deep-fried marinated chicken served with spicy mayo — and it landed exactly how you want karaage to land: super crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and dangerously easy to keep picking at between bites of everything else.

Pork belly bao buns
Soft bao, rich pork belly, and that perfect sweet-salty balance that makes you pause mid-conversation just to appreciate it. If you’re building a “one-visit sampler,” these belong on the table.

Main event comfort
Vegetarian noodle ramen
This bowl surprised me in the best way. The vegetables — onions, celery, lemongrass, mushrooms, carrots — are roasted to build a deep, rich flavor, creating that umami-forward comfort you expect from ramen, without needing meat to do the heavy lifting.

One note they make on the menu: soups are served very hot, and eggs (when included) are served whole. Translation: take your time and enjoy it the way it’s meant to be eaten.
Japanese fried rice with chicken
Marinated chicken, egg, mixed vegetables, and shredded scallions — the kind of fried rice that’s satisfying on its own but also plays nicely as a shared dish. It’s hearty, flavorful, and hits that “one more bite” rhythm fast.

The vibe, the value, and why I’d go back
The food was legitimately delicious, but what made the lunch stick in my head was the overall experience.
The vibe is phenomenal, the staff is genuinely helpful, and the prices felt on the cheaper side — which is a major win when the place looks this cool and the menu delivers like this.
If you’re in the southwest and you want something that feels different without trying too hard, give Tachi a shot. Come for ramen, come for boba, or come for a couple of rolls to satisfy the craving — you won’t regret it.

The last sip before you ride out
Tachi Ramen & Tea Bar is one of those spots that starts as a casual “let’s try it” and turns into a “we’re bringing people here next time.” It’s got personality, comfort food, and that rare Vegas-local combo of great flavor + friendly service + solid prices.
And honestly? Any excuse to take the bike out for ramen is a good one.
