On our day trip to explore the hidden gems of Boulder City, we stumbled upon a cool and unique spot — The Patio at Chilly Jilly’z.

What started as a quick stop for brunch turned into one of the most relaxing moments of the day, surrounded by friendly faces, local chatter, and the irresistible smell of fresh coffee and grilled bacon.

A Boulder City favorite with local charm

The Patio at Chilly Jilly’z lives up to its reputation. Voted #1 Restaurant in Boulder City, it offers brunch every Friday through Sunday and dinner on Saturday evenings.

The space blends a greenhouse-style patio with clear walls and a cozy indoor dining room, making it a year-round favorite for locals and travelers alike.

When we arrived around noon, the patio was buzzing with life — families gathered around large tables, couples enjoying mimosas, and a few cyclists stopping in for a break, much like us. Despite the full house, the energy was calm and easygoing.

The staff greeted us with genuine smiles, moving at a pace that reminded us how good it feels when no one’s in a rush.

The menu: brunch done right

The brunch menu at The Patio at Chilly Jilly’z is as creative as it is comforting.

From Carnitas Eggs Benedict on cheesy jalapeño cornbread to their famous ULTIMATE Patio Bloody Mary topped with shrimp and peppered bacon, it’s clear this isn’t your average brunch spot.

Everything on the menu feels crafted with care, the kind of food that makes you want to linger a little longer.

Chicken & Waffles

The highlight of our visit was the Chicken & Waffles — Chilly Jilly’z famous bone-in broaster chicken breast served atop a homemade Belgian waffle with butter and syrup.

Crispy, tender, and perfectly balanced between savory and sweet, it’s the kind of dish that defines comfort food at its best.

Breakfast Burrito

We also tried the Breakfast Burrito with bacon, a hearty wrap packed with eggs, cheese, and all the right flavors to keep you fueled for a day of exploring Boulder City.

It arrived quickly, hot, and made to perfection — just what we needed before hopping back on the bikes.

Why it stands out

What makes this place special isn’t just the food. It’s the laid-back atmosphere, the genuine hospitality, and the feeling that everyone — from staff to guests — is simply happy to be there.

The greenery, sunlight filtering through the clear panels, and a breeze rolling through the patio make it easy to lose track of time.
