Planning a night out with friends can be just as stressful as attending it. Getting everyone on the same page and agreeing on an activity is always a challenge for some.
However, no one would be opposed to hunting down monsters and capturing them within their grasp.
Monster Quest Las Vegas, located in the Arts District, allows for a few different experiences to terrify you and your friends in an exhilarating, intense, and death-defying escape room quest that will keep anyone’s hair raised!
But beware of the monsters, ghouls, and goblins awaiting your journey!
Dragos Reveals The Rules of Survival
There are 3 monster escape rooms at Monster Quest: The Mummy, Frankenstein, and The Thing, with The Invisible Man being planned as well as a 4th room.
The waiting room encounters the wretched and evil Wizard who trapped you in the house with these monsters in the first place.

Every escape room experience starts with a warning from Dragos, the head butler and guide.
Dragos explained that to get a chance to defeat the Wretched Wizard, we would have to capture all 4 monsters beforehand, which is much easier said than done.
Dragos makes it clear that our tale involves hints on how to capture the monster, which was Frankenstein in our case, and that it would be no easy task.
Only the skilled and quick-witted would survive and escape the grasp of Frankenstein and his master.

Igor, our dedicated guide, was going to be our help once we were inside the escape room, but Dragos did let us know we would have to use our brains while simultaneously trying not to lose it.
The Foundation of Fear
The first room felt claustrophobic. A time capsule that dialed up the intensity as the puzzles were solved.
A few loose limbs are found throughout the room, as well as every participant’s bravery is tested with challenges that confront the face of fear.
Only the bold are fortunate enough to escape the tasks on your journey before the master captures you. You’ll encounter plenty of dark art along the way.

With most escape rooms, the sense of urgency is ever-present in a timer that represents how much time is left.
Although Monster Quest has a timer, what sets it apart from conventional escape rooms is the sense of urgency skillfully woven into the room’s events and the intensity showcased in each puzzle’s fear factor.

This not only allows the party to work together but also calms their senses, enabling every puzzle to be solved smoothly in a calm headspace, without panicking.
Inside Dr. Frankenstein’s Lab of Lost Souls
It is very hard to describe the happenings of the room without spoiling some secrets; the master may not want your group to get out of his domain.
However, the experience with a very well-recognized and heralded monster will send shivers down everyone’s spine.

After we conquered the first room, we went on to the next adventure.
Within the second room, the master’s secret lab is filled with the souls that guide you to defeat the master and escape his grasp.
Fast thinking is crucial to make sure the master doesn’t come anywhere near the lab, which can be very distracting when trying to solve the puzzles and riddles.
Having the monster up close and personal keeps everyone grounded and reminded of what kind of dangerous game is being played.
A huge electric chair sits by the monster, waiting for its next victim to claim. Meanwhile, a beating heart awaits its master and claims a new life inside Frankenstein.
We Escaped But…The Nightmare Lives On!
Despite the puzzles only getting faster and more intense, our group made it out alive to claim our victory over the master this time.
Thankfully, we escaped the grasp of Frankenstein to write this article, expressing how wonderfully haunting the experience was.
From the moment a group walks through the door, storytelling is placed right into your lap, either from the trophies on the wall or the many guides that will assist throughout the journey.
Don’t worry if you ever get stuck, as your guide will surely ring to check up and give very helpful tips throughout.

The immersion is very intentional from the moment we saw Monster Quest’s glowing entrance door, with many mood changes, to the lighting, various surprising and cleverly done effects that kept everyone quaking from start to finish.
I would definitely recommend this for families, but be advised that it may be too graphic for children under 13.
Additionally, some loud effects and unexpected environmental changes could impact individuals with more sensitive conditions.
Although the master did get captured that night, more monsters hang loose, and rest assured, the night will not be safe until all of them are contained within their cages!
We will definitely be returning to confront the other monsters that lurk within the walls of Monster Quest.
