Some Las Vegas hangouts feel built for the moment. Las Vegas Cue Club feels like it has been collecting stories for decades. Inside the Historic Commercial Center near Sahara Avenue and Maryland Parkway, this longtime Las Vegas pool hall mixes billiards, drinks, bar food, foosball, gaming machines, music, and the kind of casual atmosphere that makes a few games of pool turn into an entire night.

A Las Vegas Pool Hall with Decades of History

Las Vegas Cue Club has been part of the local billiards scene since 1964. Its location inside the Historic Commercial Center gives the experience another layer of old-school Vegas character.

The Commercial Center opened in 1963 and is recognized as Las Vegas’s first outdoor shopping center. Today, its collection of longtime businesses, restaurants, entertainment venues, murals, and independent operators still gives the district a personality completely different from the newer shopping centers around the valley.

Walking into the Cue Club feels like stepping into another era. Deep-blue pool tables dominate the room while the walls are covered with photos and memorabilia from players and visitors who have passed through over the years.

The bar, music, billiard tables, and familiar neighborhood atmosphere give Cue Club the personality of an old-school local hangout rather than a polished attraction designed around a quick visit.

Playing Pool at Las Vegas Cue Club

Las Vegas Cue Club is open 24 hours a day, giving locals a place to shoot pool whether it is an afternoon meetup, a night out, or a very late game after most other activities have wrapped up. Food-service hours can be shorter than the venue’s operating hours, however; Cue Club currently notes that its kitchen closes at midnight.

Players with very different skill levels share the room. Some clearly know exactly what they are doing, while others are there simply to grab a table, order a drink, and compete with friends.

I visited Las Vegas Cue Club for a friend’s birthday, and that was exactly how our night played out. What felt like a few quick games turned into several hours.

Cue Club also accommodates group reservations and private-party inquiries, so it is worth contacting the venue when planning a birthday, celebration, or larger pool night.

If billiards is not everyone’s thing, the room also has foosball and other distractions. For another very different take on competitive indoor entertainment, our visit to Game Nest’s Japanese-style arcade swaps pool cues for rhythm games, racers, fighting games, and claw machines.

The foosball table gives groups another game to jump into between rounds of pool.

The combination of billiards, music, drinks, and an unpretentious crowd makes Cue Club work especially well as a casual night with friends. If you prefer your games with even more screens and arcade cabinets, Player 1 Video Game Bar offers another late-night gaming experience nearby.

Bar Food During Our Visit

The food at Cue Club leaned heavily into straightforward bar and comfort food when I visited. Because the venue is currently updating the menu published on its website, specific dishes and ingredients can change.

One of the items we tried was the Carne Asada Breakfast Burrito, a filling combination that included meat, eggs, cheese, and potatoes during our visit. It had exactly the kind of hearty profile that works when a couple of games of pool unexpectedly stretch late into the evening.

We also tried the Carnitas Breakfast Tacos, while other comfort-food choices available during the visit included burgers and sandwiches. Rather than treating Cue Club as a destination for an elaborate meal, the food fits naturally into the experience: order something filling, get back to your table, and keep the games going.

For another local combination of bar food and games, Bogey’s Bar & Grill West pairs its neighborhood-bar atmosphere with pool, gaming, sports, and a 24-hour schedule.

Drinks at the Cue Club Bar

The bar is another major part of the experience. During my visit, Cue Club offered cocktails, beer, wine, and other familiar bar choices alongside the pool tables.

Among the cocktails available at the time were drinks such as the Dr. Pepper Float and Beautiful. Because Cue Club is currently updating its published drink menu, consider these examples of what was available during our visit rather than a guarantee of today’s cocktail list.

The front bar gives players a place to grab a drink or watch a game between rounds.

The bar also has gaming machines, giving people another way to pass the time when they are not shooting pool. If sports are the main reason you are heading out, Rush Hour Bar & Grill combines pool, darts, gaming machines, food, and TVs throughout the room.

Music Adds to the Old-School Pool Hall Feel

A pool hall almost feels incomplete without a jukebox, and Cue Club has one sitting right alongside the billiards-and-bar experience.

During our night there, classic-rock favorites helped set the mood between games. The music fits naturally with the room rather than feeling like a separate attraction: cues cracking, people talking across tables, drinks arriving, and familiar songs running in the background.

The jukebox adds another dose of old-school pool-hall personality to the room.

If your group would rather take over the microphone than choose the background music, Cat’s Meow in Downtown Las Vegas turns karaoke into the centerpiece of the night.

A 24/7 Las Vegas Pool Hall Worth Knowing

Las Vegas Cue Club stands out because it does not need to reinvent what a pool hall is. You come here to shoot pool, hang out with friends, grab a drink, listen to music, and let the night move at its own pace.

Its location inside the Historic Commercial Center gives it a sense of place that newer entertainment venues cannot easily duplicate, while its 24-hour schedule makes it unusually flexible for Las Vegas locals.

Whether you are serious about billiards or simply looking for something social that does not revolve around the Strip, Cue Club remains one of the city’s most recognizable pool-hall experiences.
