My favorite was Mario Kart, and the competitive side of me definitely came out. And yes—I got first place. Seeing my character standing on top of the podium made the win that much better!

During our visit, my favorite was the Master Chief Mule. It had a spicy ginger kick that fit the mood perfectly and somehow made every match feel just a little more competitive. Because Player 1 regularly changes its drink lineup, specific cocktails from our visit may not always be available.

Beer drinkers have plenty to explore as well. If craft beer is more important to your night than the high score, you can also head downtown and compare the atmosphere with the dark, rock-driven bar experience at The Griffin.

What stood out most during our visit was not any single cabinet or console. It was how naturally Player 1 turned gaming into a social experience.

People moved between games, watched strangers compete, compared scores, grabbed drinks, and jumped into whatever caught their attention next. It felt less like walking into a traditional arcade and more like joining a giant casual LAN party where nobody had to clean up afterward.
