This past Friday, we heard about a fairly new restaurant that had just opened in Downtown Summerlin, taking over the former Wolfgang Puck Players Locker space. Naturally, as part of our ongoing mission at Everyday.Vegas to keep exploring what is new around the valley, we decided there was only one reasonable response: grab a table, order a couple of beers, and see what Finney’s Crafthouse was bringing to Summerlin.
Finney’s Crafthouse opened its first Nevada location in Downtown Summerlin in September 2026, expanding a brand that began in Southern California in 2016. For locals who spend time around the shopping district, Las Vegas Ballpark, or City National Arena, it adds another large casual restaurant to an area already packed with places to eat and drink.
We have covered quite a few of those restaurants over the years, and if you are trying to decide where to eat nearby, our Downtown Summerlin restaurant guide is a good place to see how the growing dining scene fits together.
A New Gastropub Lands in Downtown Summerlin
Finney’s describes itself as a family-owned American tavern built around a scratch kitchen and craft bar. The menu stretches well beyond burgers, with appetizers, salads, tacos, pizzas, sandwiches, bowls and other American comfort-food options.
But as you walk through the door, the bar makes the first big impression.
It sits prominently in the restaurant, surrounded by TVs, taps, and a combination of brick, wood, metal, and warm finishes that give the room a polished Americana gastropub feel. It is casual enough to bring the kids but built with enough bar energy to make sense when you just want to meet friends for a beer.

If the neighborhood-bar side of Finney’s is what catches your attention, Downtown Summerlin already has another option we visited: Frankie’s Uptown, where burgers, bar food, cocktails, and whiskey create a smaller, more intimate version of that casual drinks-and-dinner experience.
Plenty of Room Inside and Out
One thing that immediately stood out during our visit was Finney’s size.
The building is impressive, with a large main dining room, the central bar, an enclosed patio area, and a more open outdoor patio. That gives diners several different ways to use the restaurant depending on the weather and what kind of visit they have in mind.
The patio is especially useful during those Las Vegas months when sitting outside actually sounds like a good idea, and misting makes the open seating more comfortable as temperatures climb.

Families can settle into a table for lunch or dinner, while couples and groups can gravitate toward the bar or patio. That flexibility feels especially appropriate for Downtown Summerlin, where people may be arriving after shopping, meeting before a game, or simply looking for a casual Friday-night dinner.
Starting With a Couple of Craft Beers
Our waitress introduced herself almost immediately, got us settled in, and from there it was off to the races.
Finney’s promotes 30 craft beers on tap, so naturally that was where we started. I ordered the Tenaya Creek Aviators Blonde, while Esther went with a Finney’s Light.

Both were easy-drinking beers that fit exactly what we wanted with a burger-heavy meal. Nothing complicated, nothing that needed to be analyzed too much; just cold beer, good company, and a table full of food on the way.
If burgers and beer are specifically what you are chasing around the west side, we recently visited Slater’s 50/50 on Lake Mead, another casual option where craft beer and oversized burgers are a major part of the experience.
What We Ordered at Finney’s Crafthouse
The Finney’s menu is large enough that our first visit barely scratched the surface. We decided to concentrate on what felt most representative of the place: a popular shareable appetizer followed by burgers.
Starting With the Appetizer Everyone Recommended
Cheesesteak Egg Rolls
I asked our waitress a simple question: if we were ordering just one appetizer, what should it be?
There was almost no hesitation.
“You have to try the Cheesesteak Egg Rolls.”
That turned out to be good advice. Finney’s makes them with prime rib, onions, peppers, and fontina, wrapped and fried until crisp. They arrived hot, rich, and juicy, with exactly the combination you expect when somebody takes the flavors of a cheesesteak and turns them into fried finger food.

This is not the appetizer you order when you are trying to convince yourself dinner is going to be light. It is the one you order because you came hungry.
And if loaded appetizers, TVs, and sports-bar food are your kind of outing, The Spot LV offers another family-friendly west-side option with burgers, BBQ, drinks, and plenty of screens.
The Burgers Arrive
Jalapeño Egg Burger
For my main course, the Jalapeño Egg Burger was an easy choice.
The current Finney’s version comes with a fried egg, cheddar, bacon, crispy jalapeños, and chipotle aioli. I ordered mine with fries and waited for the inevitable moment when the egg yolk would become part of everything else on the plate.
That is pretty much what happened.

The burger was big, juicy, and properly messy, with the egg adding richness while the jalapeños and chipotle aioli brought enough heat to keep the combination interesting. Between the burger, bacon, egg and fries, this was definitely the heavier side of the table.
Smashburger with Sweet Potato Fries
Esther chose the “lighter” option and went with the Smashburger.
I am using the word lighter very generously.
Finney’s Smashburger comes with American cheese, grilled onions, cherry peppers, and mustard aioli, and Esther paired hers with sweet potato fries.

Compared with my egg-and-bacon-covered creation, it was certainly more restrained, but it was still exactly what you would expect from a gastropub burger: straightforward, flavorful and made to go well with a cold beer.
For a very different Downtown Summerlin meal, Sushi Loca is practically built for those nights when the group would rather trade burgers and fries for sushi, sashimi, and Japanese dishes.
Prices Fit the Downtown Summerlin Setting
The food was done right, service throughout our visit was attentive, and pricing felt about where we expected it to land for a new full-service restaurant in Downtown Summerlin.
It is a little more than the neighborhood burger joint you stop at simply because it is convenient, but it’s also not positioned as a basic burger counter. You are paying for a large full-service restaurant, a substantial bar program, multiple patios, and a polished location in one of Summerlin’s busiest dining and entertainment districts.

That distinction matters. Finney’s works just as easily for someone ordering a burger and beer as it does for a family settling in for dinner or friends watching a game over appetizers.
For something quieter and more date-night focused nearby, Grape Street Wine Bar takes the neighborhood in another direction with wine, Italian-inspired dishes, and a more relaxed evening atmosphere.
A Restaurant Built for Different Kinds of Visits
Finney’s seems designed to avoid being locked into one category.
It is a restaurant, but the bar is a major part of the experience. It works for sports, but it does not feel like a dedicated sports bar. Kids can comfortably join the table, but adults can just as easily stop by for happy hour or drinks. Indoor seating is available when it is scorching outside, along with an enclosed patio and an open patio for those perfect Las Vegas evenings.
That versatility should work well in Downtown Summerlin.
During the day, families already have options like Fine Company for a more brunch-oriented experience. As the day moves toward dinner and drinks, Finney’s fills a different role with burgers, shareables, draft beer, and the energy of a large tavern.

Our First Visit to Finney’s Crafthouse
Finney’s Crafthouse is still very new to Las Vegas, and it arrived in a neighborhood where diners already have plenty of choices. That means it has to give locals a reason to come back after the curiosity of a new opening wears off.
Our first visit gave us a good introduction.
The service was friendly, the food delivered what we expected, the beers were cold, and the restaurant has enough seating and menu variety to work for plenty of different occasions.
The Cheesesteak Egg Rolls were easily the appetizer we would tell someone to try first, while both burgers handled the main event without leaving much room for anything else afterward.
Whether we are stopping in before a game, meeting friends for a beer, bringing the family for dinner, or eventually working our way deeper into the menu, there is enough here to justify another visit.
For now, Downtown Summerlin has one more big restaurant in the mix, and Finney’s Crafthouse has officially given locals another place to grab a cold draft, split something fried, and bite into a seriously satisfying burger.
