Spooktacular Poker Run

Spooktacular Poker Run
OCT 16
October 16, 2026 3:00 pm → October 17, 2026 5:00 pm Saddle West Hotel Casino RV Resort

Spooktacular Poker Run returns to Pahrump on October 16th and 17th, 2026 for a Halloween-themed weekend built around off-road riding, a side-by-side Trunk or Treat and a challenging desert poker run. Saddle West serves as the main event hub, with Friday registration beginning at 3:00 PM and Saturday’s off-road run concluding by 5:00 PM.

The event is hosted by JGR Off Road and Nye County SXS and benefits the Nye County chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace. The poker run is intended for capable side-by-sides, UTVs and adventure-ready off-road vehicles rather than standard passenger vehicles or beginner trail setups.

Friday Registration and Trunk or Treat

The weekend begins Friday at Saddle West with registration and packet pickup from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM near the poolside bar area.

Side-by-side owners participating in the evening’s Spooktacular Trunk or Treat can begin setting up decorated vehicles at 6:00 PM. Trunk-or-treating starts at 7:00 PM, turning the off-road machines into Halloween candy stops for local families.

Saturday Off-Road Poker Run

Saturday’s riding portion begins at Wheeler Springs Plaza. A mandatory drivers meeting is scheduled for 7:30 AM, followed by the National Anthem and departure at 8:00 AM.

The final riders must leave the starting area by 9:00 AM. Organizers will make their final course pass at 11:00 AM, and all drivers must complete the route and return to Saddle West by 5:00 PM.

A Surprise Route Through Pahrump’s Desert Terrain

The exact Spooktacular Poker Run route is intentionally kept secret until event day. Maps are distributed to registered participants, adding an element of surprise to the ride.

Organizers describe the route as a true off-road experience with real desert terrain rather than a simple dirt-road cruise. SxSs, UTVs and other properly equipped off-road rigs are the intended vehicles. Trucks are not recommended unless they are equipped for challenging off-road conditions.

One Poker Hand Per Vehicle

Each registration includes one poker hand per vehicle, regardless of how many riders are inside. Participants who want additional chances can purchase extra poker hands for $15 each.

Registration also includes one free event whip flag for the first 100 registered vehicles. Additional flags are available for purchase, and event shirts can be ordered during registration.

Supporting Sleep in Heavenly Peace

Proceeds from the Spooktacular Poker Run support Sleep in Heavenly Peace – Nye County, Nevada Chapter. The nonprofit works to provide beds for children who do not have a proper place to sleep.

The fundraising continues after Saturday’s ride when children from Pahrump Valley Little League offer a donation-based “Wash the Dirt Off” vehicle wash at the Saddle West Event Center. Money collected from the wash supports the local Little League program.

Staying at Saddle West

Saddle West is offering special event rates for registered attendees during the weekend. Current rates include $65 per night for hotel rooms and $35 per night for full-hookup RV spaces using the event’s booking code.

Registered attendees also receive a wristband providing 10% off food and drinks at Saddle West during the event weekend. Dry camping is not permitted at the property.

Tickets and Registration

Vehicle registration is $75 plus the applicable processing fee. Registration includes one poker hand per vehicle and, while supplies last, one free whip flag for each of the first 100 registrations. Additional poker hands, shirts and extra whip flags can be added during registration. Drivers must accept the event’s off-road participation waiver when registering.
