There’s something romantic about crepes. Maybe it’s the delicate texture, the combination of sweet and savory flavors, or simply the fact that they feel a little different from the usual breakfast routine. At Crepe Expectations in Las Vegas, those possibilities stretch across an entire menu of made-to-order savory, sweet, and breakfast crepes.
The colorful café on South Eastern Avenue pairs its crepes with coffee, tea, mimosas, wine, and beer, creating a spot that works just as easily for breakfast as it does for a slower weekend brunch. If crepes are what brought you here, The Real Crepe offers another local Las Vegas take on the French favorite.
Café Style With a Side of Personality
We visited on a Saturday around noon, and the place was packed with couples, families, and groups of friends. After a short wait in line, we placed our order at the café-style counter. It’s a simple setup: order first, find a seat, and settle in while the kitchen gets to work.
“I actually like this ordering style sometimes. It’s simple, it moves fast, and you can just sit back and enjoy without watching the clock.”
While we initially sat outside on the patio, the wind nudged us back inside to one of the high barstool tables. From there, we had a clear view of the large open preparation area behind glass, where the crepes were being made right in front of us. For a very different but equally colorful morning experience, Rise & Shine brings its own playful personality to Las Vegas breakfast.

The vibe inside Crepe Expectations is cheerful and energetic. Purple dominates much of the branding and décor, while rustic wood accents, framed artwork, and an open view toward the kitchen keep the room casual and approachable.
Tea Time & Crepes Done Right
Our drinks came out first—a large pot of hot jasmine tea with two cups, perfect for splitting. Simple, but it hit the spot and warmed us up after briefly braving the wind outside.

Not long after, the main stars of the show arrived: the crepes.
Big Lou’s BBQ
I ordered Big Lou’s BBQ, a savory crepe filled with 16-hour smoked pork butt, citrus BBQ sauce, jack cheese, and apple blue-cheese slaw. The current menu lists it at $13. If slow-smoked meat is what catches your attention, SoulBelly BBQ offers another very different Las Vegas approach to smoked pork and barbecue.

The meat was tender and juicy, wrapped snugly inside a thick, folded crepe that somehow held everything without falling apart. The sauce was tangy and sweet, just enough to cut through the richness of the pork.
“This was one of the best savory crepes I’ve had. The pork was perfectly smoked and full of flavor, and the crepe itself was surprisingly sturdy for how much they loaded it.”
The slaw was on the tougher side, and the blue cheese in it was a bit intense for my taste, but overall the dish was solid. The current menu lists Big Lou’s BBQ at $13, although prices can change.
The Perfect Combination: Strawberries & Chocolate
Destony went in the sweeter direction with The Perfect Combination. The current menu keeps this one straightforward with fresh strawberries and chocolate drizzle, while sweet crepes are served with powdered sugar and fresh whipped cream on the side.

The crepe was soft and lightly sweetened, letting the fruit and chocolate shine without becoming overly rich. It was folded generously, and every bite had the right amount of filling. For another locally owned stop that leans heavily into pastries and desserts, Cookio Cafe in Southwest Las Vegas offers a completely different lineup of sweet treats.
“Simple but delicious. The strawberries were super fresh, and the whipped cream was light and not too sweet—perfect with the chocolate.”
A Las Vegas Creperie Featured on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives
Crepe Expectations also has some national recognition behind its neighborhood feel. The restaurant was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives beginning in 2015, and Guy Fieri later returned for another visit. The restaurant’s official site highlights dishes from those appearances, including The Sonora and other creations from owner Lou Remillard.
Sweet, Savory & Breakfast Crepes
Crepe Expectations puts the spotlight right where it should be—on the crepes. The current menu is organized around savory, sweet, and breakfast selections, with everything from smoked pork and carne asada to Nutella, fresh berries, eggs, and chorizo. If you want to compare another local crepe shop with a different style, What’s Crepe in Southwest Las Vegas takes the idea in its own dessert-focused direction.

Whether you’re after something cheesy and filling, fruity and sweet, or loaded with breakfast classics, there is a surprisingly broad range to choose from.
Savory Crepes
- The La Jolla – Bacon, romaine, tomato, guacamole, and chipotle mayo
- The Caprese – Fresh mozzarella, tomato, and garlic-basil pesto, with grilled chicken available as an add-on
- The Reuben – Slow-roasted corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, 1000 Island dressing, and caraway
- The Sonora – Carne asada steak, roasted tomato salsa, guacamole, and jack cheese

- The Sunday Morning – Seasoned potatoes, scrambled egg, and jack cheese
The current menu also states that any menu item can be made gluten-free for an additional charge. Anyone with celiac disease or a serious allergy should still speak directly with the restaurant about ingredients, preparation, and potential cross-contact before ordering.
Coffee, Mimosas, Wine & Beer
Crepe Expectations surprised us with how broad the drink menu is. Along with tea, coffee, espresso, cappuccino, and lattes, the current menu includes a Mimosa Trio with a choice of three flavors. Choices include pineapple, mango, raspberry, strawberry, passion fruit, blood orange, white peach, watermelon, pomegranate, cherry, guava, orange, apple, and cranberry.
You’ll also find sodas, iced tea, several juices, fresh-squeezed lemonade, wine, and beer, giving the drink menu plenty of options beyond coffee. If the café side of the experience interests you as much as breakfast, Torino Cafe offers another local café experience built around coffee, pastries, and European influence.
The Owner in Action
One of the most refreshing things about our visit was seeing Lou Remillard, the owner, working the room. He wasn’t simply managing from a distance—he was picking up dishes, delivering food, checking in with tables, and making people feel welcome.
That level of personal involvement really sets the tone for the place. It makes everything feel more down-to-earth, even in the middle of the weekend brunch rush.

“It’s cool when the owner is out there making sure things run smoothly. It gives the whole place a more personal touch.”
A Casual Las Vegas Brunch Stop
Crepe Expectations lands somewhere between a quick neighborhood breakfast and a leisurely brunch. It isn’t overly formal, but the made-to-order crepes and broad menu give the meal enough variety to make it feel different from the average breakfast stop.
Whether you’re splitting something sweet, ordering a savory crepe for lunch, or settling in with tea and a Mimosa Trio, there are plenty of ways to approach the menu. For another European-inspired sweet stop around the valley, Olé Churros Café brings Spanish-style churros and café flavors to Downtown Summerlin.
“We came here for brunch and ended up staying longer than we thought. Between the tea, the crepes, and the whole vibe—it was just a really good time.”
