AMARI Italian Kitchen & Wine Shop at UnCommons brings Italian-American cooking, pizza, pasta, cocktails, and a retail wine shop together in one polished southwest Las Vegas restaurant. It feels dressed up enough for a date night or special occasion without crossing into overly formal territory.

We returned to AMARI in April 2026, and what continues to make it work is the complete experience. There is a wine market at the entrance, a lively central bar, a comfortable dining room, outdoor seating facing The Quad, and a menu built for sharing a few things rather than committing to one oversized entrée.

The location helps too. AMARI sits inside UnCommons near Urth Caffé, giving you somewhere to walk before or after dinner instead of immediately heading back to the car. It is also part of the growing collection of restaurants and activities we have covered around southwest Las Vegas.

AMARI at UnCommons: Italian Food, Wine, and Date-Night Energy

The experience starts before you reach the dining room. AMARI’s entrance incorporates a small market and wine shop, with bottles lining the space around the host stand. The flower-covered archway, greenery, warm lighting, and polished wood make the arrival feel more intentional than simply walking into another restaurant.

The wine shop is also functional. Guests can purchase bottles to take home, giving AMARI a slightly different identity from the typical neighborhood Italian restaurant.

If you arrive before your reservation, the entrance gives you somewhere to browse instead of simply waiting at the host stand. It is a small detail, but it fits the restaurant well: AMARI works best when dinner is treated as part of a full evening rather than a quick stop for food.

Peroni and the Fiori Spritz

We started with two very different drinks: a Peroni and a Fiori Spritz. The Peroni gave us a crisp, familiar beer option, while the spritz went in a lighter, more aromatic direction with bubbles, citrus, and floral notes.

Service moved at the right pace during our visit. Drinks arrived quickly, water was kept filled, and the food followed without the meal feeling hurried. That matters here because a large part of AMARI’s appeal is being able to settle into the room and spend some time at the table.

House-Made Focaccia and the Sauce Flight

One of the easiest things to recommend from our visit is the house-made focaccia. We paired the bread with four sauces: basil pesto, Calabrian honey, classic tomato, and whipped ricotta.

The pesto brought a bright, savory bite, while the Calabrian honey added a sweet heat that worked especially well with the warm bread. The tomato kept things simple and familiar, and the whipped ricotta added a cool, creamy contrast.

Those sauces remain part of AMARI’s current menu, so this is still one of the easiest ways to recreate part of our meal.

What We Ate at AMARI Italian Kitchen

Farfalle alla Vodka

For pasta, we ordered the Farfalle alla Vodka, which came with Italian fennel sausage folded into a creamy tomato-vodka sauce. The sausage brought a noticeable fennel note, while the sauce coated the bowtie pasta without overpowering it.

The portion worked well for sharing alongside a pizza, which is how we approached the meal.

The Farfalle alla Vodka was available during our visit but is not currently listed on AMARI’s published menu. Because the restaurant changes dishes, we would treat this as part of our experience rather than something to expect automatically on a future visit.

If pasta is the main reason you are planning an Italian dinner, we have also visited North Italia in Summerlin and Al Solito Posto at Tivoli Village, which offer two different takes on Italian dining away from the Strip.

Crispy Eggplant Pizza

Across the table, we went with the Crispy Eggplant pizza. It combines tomato, smoked mozzarella, fior di latte, eggplant, and basil on a crust sturdy enough to handle the toppings without falling apart.

The smoked mozzarella adds another layer beyond a straightforward red-sauce pizza, while the eggplant makes the pie substantial enough to function as a main course. This one remains on AMARI’s current menu.

For a much more casual neighborhood version of an Italian pizza night, our visit to Marsigliano’s Pizzeria offers a useful contrast.

Inside AMARI Italian Kitchen & Wine Shop

AMARI’s dining room balances polish with enough warmth to keep it comfortable. Modern chandeliers, upholstered seating, bottle displays, greenery, and the central bar divide the restaurant into several distinct spaces without making it feel fragmented.

The wine displays double as décor throughout the room, and AMARI also has a more intimate private wine room for group dining. Larger parties are handled separately through the restaurant’s group-dining program.

One of the strengths of the UnCommons location is that dinner does not need to be the entire outing. You can walk through The Quad afterward, grab coffee nearby, or check whether the UnCommons Farmers Market is taking place during your visit.

The Bar at AMARI

The central bar gives the restaurant another personality. Backlit bottles, a long counter, and TVs make it possible to stop primarily for drinks or keep an eye on a game without turning the entire restaurant into a sports bar.

AMARI currently advertises happy hour daily from 3 to 6:30 p.m., making the bar worth considering even when you are not planning a full dinner.

Why We Would Return to AMARI at UnCommons

AMARI works because no single element has to carry the entire evening. The wine shop creates an interesting entrance, the dining room feels polished without becoming stiff, and the menu makes it easy to build dinner around bread, pizza, pasta, cocktails, or wine.

Our April 2026 visit reinforced it as a comfortable choice for a date night or special occasion in southwest Las Vegas. The focaccia and sauces are an easy place to start, the Crispy Eggplant pizza remains one of the more distinctive choices on the current menu, and the bar gives you a reason to stay for another drink after dinner.

For us, the draw is less about one signature dish and more about how easily AMARI fits into a complete evening at UnCommons: arrive for dinner, order a few things to share, enjoy the wine and bar program, and spend a little more time exploring one of southwest Las Vegas’ growing dining destinations.
