Marsigliano’s Pizzeria: Neighborhood Italian Food in Las Vegas

For authentic Italian comfort food with the welcoming feel of a neighborhood restaurant, Marsigliano’s Pizzeria in Las Vegas delivers a personal experience from the moment you walk in.

This casual West Sahara eatery serves far more than pizza, with pasta, stromboli, sandwiches, wings, salads, desserts and other Italian and Italian-American favorites filling out an extensive menu.

We recently stopped in and had such a pleasant experience. One thing immediately stood out: owner and chef Richie Marsigliano was right there, cooking, serving food and interacting with guests.

It gives Marsigliano’s the kind of neighborhood atmosphere that’s becoming harder to find—casual, friendly and centered around good food.

And we aren’t the only ones who have taken notice. Marsigliano’s received national attention when Guy Fieri visited for Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, featuring the restaurant in the 2023 episode “Interesting Italian.”

A Neighborhood Italian Restaurant on West Sahara

Marsigliano’s isn’t trying to be an upscale Italian dining room. Instead, it offers a comfortable, casual setting where the emphasis stays on Italian comfort food and personal service.

For Las Vegas locals who enjoy exploring different styles of Italian cooking, Marsigliano’s feels very different from the wood-fired Neapolitan approach at Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana or the more polished dining experience at La Strega in Summerlin. This is much more of a neighborhood pizza-and-pasta shop where you can come as you are.

Richie’s active involvement in the kitchen and with guests added a lot to our experience. He was incredibly friendly and approachable, offering suggestions, checking to make sure we enjoyed what we ordered and taking the time to chat with us.

He even asked where we were from, something that made it clear people are finding Marsigliano’s from well beyond its immediate neighborhood.

That interaction reminded us of what makes longtime family-run restaurants such as Nora’s Italian Cuisine so appealing: the personality of the people behind the restaurant becomes part of the meal itself.

The menu here is extensive. Along with pizza and pasta, you’ll find Italian specialty sandwiches, wings, stromboli, salads, family-style options, desserts and plenty more.

After our first visit, we already knew we’d need to return to explore more of it.

What We Tried at Marsigliano’s

For this first visit, we skipped the pizza entirely and went in another direction with a Caesar salad, Eggplant Stromboli and Pesto Pasta.

Considering “Pizzeria” is right there in the restaurant’s name, that might sound unusual, but it actually helped show us just how broad the menu is.

Caesar Salad

We started with a side Caesar salad, a simple and classic way to begin the meal. It was fresh and gave us something lighter before moving on to the heavier dishes.

If you’re ordering several items to share, adding a salad is an easy way to balance out the table.

Eggplant Stromboli

Next came the Eggplant Stromboli, one of the dishes we were especially excited to try.

Stromboli is already a comforting Italian-American favorite, but replacing the usual meat-heavy filling with eggplant gave this one its own character. It was hearty, satisfying and a good choice for someone who wants the baked-dough experience without ordering a traditional pizza.

If stromboli, calzones and East Coast-style pizza are your thing, Marsigliano’s also fits nicely into the same kind of casual local-food exploration as Those Guys Pies on Desert Inn.

Pesto Pasta

We also tried the Pesto Pasta, another dish that reinforced that there’s much more to Marsigliano’s than pizza.

The pesto brought plenty of familiar basil-forward Italian flavor to the pasta and made for a satisfying entrée alongside the stromboli. It was a simple, comforting dish that felt perfectly at home in the restaurant’s casual setting.

Everything we tried was delicious, and with such a large menu, three dishes barely scratched the surface.

For another casual Las Vegas Italian restaurant where pasta plays just as important a role as pizza, Roma Restaurant & Deli is another local spot we’ve enjoyed exploring.

More Than a Las Vegas Pizza Shop

Despite “Pizzeria” being in the name, Marsigliano’s offers much more than pizza.

The menu covers specialty pizzas along with pasta, sandwiches, wings, stromboli, salads, desserts and other familiar Italian favorites. It’s the type of place where everyone at the table can go in a completely different direction.

That variety also makes Marsigliano’s an easy option for families and groups. You can share pizzas, order individual pasta dishes, add salads or appetizers, or put together a larger meal with several different dishes for the table.

Las Vegas has no shortage of ways to approach pizza. Nearby experiences range from the contemporary Italian menu at North Italia in Summerlin to New York-style pizza, pasta and stromboli at Carmine’s Pizza Kitchen. Marsigliano’s stands out by keeping the experience particularly personal and unfussy.

Marsigliano’s on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives

Marsigliano’s received national attention when Guy Fieri and his son Hunter visited for Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

The restaurant appeared in the episode “Interesting Italian,” which aired January 27, 2023. The show featured two of Marsigliano’s more unusual creations: the Chicken Parmesan Stromboli and Lasagne Pizza.

There’s an interesting Las Vegas connection behind the episode as well. Before opening his own restaurant, Richie Marsigliano worked at John Mull’s Road Kill Grill, another longtime Las Vegas restaurant that has appeared on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

Marsigliano’s isn’t the only neighborhood restaurant we’ve visited that Guy Fieri discovered. What’s Zaap Thai Food also earned a spot on the show, another reminder that some nationally recognized Las Vegas food is found far from the Strip’s celebrity-chef dining rooms.

The television appearance may introduce people to Marsigliano’s, but once you’re inside, the personal service and neighborhood atmosphere are what give the restaurant its identity.

Dine In, Takeout, Delivery and Catering

Marsigliano’s gives customers several ways to enjoy its food. You can sit down inside for a casual meal or order food to take home, and the restaurant also offers delivery.

Marsigliano’s also offers catering, extending its Italian menu to parties, family gatherings, office meals and other events.

Why Marsigliano’s Feels Like a Las Vegas Hidden Gem

What we enjoyed most about Marsigliano’s was how genuine the entire experience felt.

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was comfortable, and seeing the owner personally involved in both preparing food and interacting with customers added the kind of neighborhood personality that can’t be manufactured.

There’s something refreshing about finding a place where you can walk in casually and choose between pizza, pasta, stromboli, sandwiches and other Italian comfort foods without needing a special occasion.

Our Caesar salad, Eggplant Stromboli and Pesto Pasta gave us a great introduction, but there is still a lot of the menu left for us to discover.

And considering Guy Fieri came here for the Chicken Parmesan Stromboli and Lasagne Pizza, our own next order suddenly has some serious competition.

We’ll definitely be back—and next time, pizza is high on the list.
