Boom Bang Delivers More Than Good Looks

Some restaurants try so hard to feel trendy that they forget the most important part: serving food people actually want to come back for.

Boom Bang Fine Foods & Cocktails manages to do both. The west Las Vegas restaurant combines an inviting dining room, a creative cocktail program, and a menu full of elevated comfort food that feels approachable rather than overly complicated.

Between the stylish interior, energetic bar, and diverse lunch offerings, it’s easy to see why Boom Bang has developed a loyal following. The restaurant feels polished without feeling formal, making it just as suitable for a casual weekday lunch as it is for a date night or celebration.

During a recent lunch visit with Destony, we sampled a few of the restaurant’s most popular offerings, including the Boom Bang Burger, Bucatini Pomodoro with Spicy Shrimp, Truffle Fries, and a couple of drinks from the bar.

Where Style Meets Comfort

The restaurant immediately makes a strong impression.

Warm wood finishes, comfortable seating, decorative lighting, and an impressive central bar create a space that feels both modern and welcoming. There is an upscale feel throughout the dining room, but nothing about it feels intimidating.

One of the most memorable design features is the cactus-themed wallpaper that wraps around one side of the dining room. Combined with the curved booth seating, it gives the restaurant a personality that stands apart from many of the more generic dining spaces around Las Vegas.

Natural light pours into the dining room during lunch service, helping the space feel bright and relaxed.

“One of the first things I noticed was how comfortable the restaurant felt. It looks upscale when you walk in, but it never feels like a place where you have to dress up or worry about being out of place. It’s the kind of restaurant where you can celebrate something special or simply stop by for lunch on a weekday.”

A Menu Built Around Elevated Comfort Food

Boom Bang’s menu focuses on familiar dishes prepared with high-quality ingredients and a little extra attention to detail.

You’ll find burgers, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, pasta dishes, cocktails, wine, and beer, giving diners plenty of options without making the menu feel overwhelming.

After looking everything over, we decided to share the Truffle Fries before diving into our entrees.

Starting With the Truffle Fries

The Truffle Fries feature black truffle, Parmigiano Reggiano, and parsley.

Truffle fries have become a staple at many restaurants, but they’re often either overloaded with truffle oil or lacking flavor entirely. Boom Bang found a nice middle ground.

Boom Bang’s Truffle Fries topped with black truffle, Parmesan, and fresh parsley.

The fries arrived hot, crispy, and generously topped with cheese. The truffle flavor was noticeable without overpowering the dish, while the parsley added freshness that helped balance everything out.

They worked perfectly as a shareable starter and disappeared quickly.

“The Truffle Fries ended up being one of those appetizers where you tell yourself you’ll just have a few while waiting for the main course, and then suddenly the basket is almost empty. The balance of truffle and cheese was spot on, and they stayed crispy throughout the meal.”

The Boom Bang Burger

I ordered the Boom Bang Burger for lunch.

According to the menu, the burger features a blend of brisket, chuck, and short rib served on a brioche bun with aged cheddar and classic toppings.

The first thing that stood out was the quality of the beef. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and cooked well, with the aged cheddar adding just enough sharpness to complement the richness of the meat.

The brioche bun held everything together nicely without becoming soggy.

A generous serving of fries completed the plate and made for a very satisfying lunch.

Sometimes restaurants try too hard to reinvent burgers with unusual toppings or unnecessary gimmicks. Boom Bang keeps things simple and focuses on quality ingredients, which pays off.

“This was exactly the kind of burger I hoped it would be. Nothing felt overcomplicated. The beef was the star, the toppings worked together well, and every bite tasted like a restaurant focusing on execution rather than trying to create a social media moment.”

Bucatini Pomodoro With Spicy Shrimp

Destony ordered the Bucatini Pomodoro with Spicy Shrimp.

The dish combines marinara, Aleppo pepper, blistered tomatoes, parmesan cheese, and shrimp over bucatini pasta.

Presentation alone made a strong first impression. The shrimp were beautifully cooked and placed on top of the pasta with a generous amount of freshly grated parmesan.

Bucatini Pomodoro topped with spicy shrimp, blistered tomatoes, and plenty of Parmesan cheese.

The Aleppo pepper brought a gentle heat that complemented the tomato sauce without overwhelming it. The shrimp added another layer of flavor while the bucatini held onto the sauce exceptionally well.

The dish felt lighter than my burger while still being filling and satisfying.

“The pasta looked great when it arrived, but it tasted even better. The shrimp had a nice char, the sauce was bright and flavorful, and the slight heat from the Aleppo pepper kept every bite interesting without becoming too spicy.”

Drinks at Lunch

Boom Bang’s beverage menu is extensive, featuring cocktails, wine, sparkling selections, and local as well as national beers.

I ordered the Evil Twin NYC ‘Our Most Popular Beer,’ a New England IPA served on draft.

The beer was smooth, juicy, and refreshing with enough hop character to pair nicely with both the burger and the truffle fries.

Destony chose the Peach Fuzz, made with bourbon, peach liqueur, lemon, and mint simple syrup.

The cocktail was refreshing and easy to drink, with the peach flavor coming through without being overly sweet. The bourbon added depth while the lemon and mint kept everything balanced.

Between the cocktail menu and rotating beer selections, there are plenty of reasons to return and try something new.

“The drink menu was almost as tempting as the food menu. My IPA was exactly what I wanted with lunch, while the Peach Fuzz ended up being a great choice for anyone who enjoys fruit-forward cocktails that still have enough balance to avoid tasting sugary.”

The Kind of Place You Want to Stay Awhile

Great food is only part of what makes a restaurant memorable.

Throughout our visit, the service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Our waitress did a great job walking us through the menu and offering recommendations without ever feeling pushy.

The cactus-themed dining area adds color and personality to one of Boom Bang’s coziest corners.

Originally, we planned on ordering both a side of regular fries and the Truffle Fries. Before placing the order, she pointed out that the truffle fries portion was much larger than we expected and suggested sharing a single order instead.

It ended up being the right call. The truffle fries were more than enough for the table, and switching my burger to the regular fries gave us a chance to try both without over-ordering.

“One thing I always appreciate is when a server helps you have a better experience instead of simply adding more items to the bill. We were ready to order two different fry sides, but our waitress recommended sharing the truffle fries because the portion was huge. She was absolutely right. We still got to try both versions, had plenty of food, and left feeling like we got honest advice instead of an upsell.”

Why We’ll Be Back

Our lunch at Boom Bang Fine Foods & Cocktails left a strong impression.

The restaurant delivers quality food, excellent drinks, attentive service, and a beautiful dining room without ever feeling pretentious.

The Truffle Fries were a great way to start the meal. The Boom Bang Burger delivered everything I wanted from a quality burger, while Destony’s Bucatini Pomodoro with Spicy Shrimp showcased a lighter but equally satisfying side of the menu.
