If you’re spending the day shopping, catching a movie, or meeting friends in Downtown Summerlin, there’s a new spot you’ll want to add to your list: Marufuku Ramen.

As the newest restaurant to open in the area, it’s already drawing attention for its authentic Hakata-style tonkotsu ramen, flavorful kushiyaki skewers, izakaya-style small plates, and Japanese-inspired cocktails.

Downtown Summerlin continues to grow its dining scene, and Marufuku Ramen fits right in—offering a warm, welcoming atmosphere paired with comforting, high-quality Japanese cuisine.

From the moment we walked in, the service was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and happy to offer recommendations, which always makes the experience even better.

Whether you’re stopping in for a quick lunch between stores or sitting down for a relaxed dinner, Marufuku Ramen feels like an easy and delicious choice.

Authentic Hakata-Style Ramen

Marufuku Ramen specializes in Hakata-style ramen, a style that originated in Fukuoka, Japan. Known for its rich, creamy broth and thin noodles, Hakata ramen is all about depth of flavor and careful preparation. The broth is simmered to create that signature silky texture and savory richness that ramen lovers crave.

While tonkotsu (pork-based) broth is the traditional foundation of Hakata ramen, Marufuku also offers other variations, giving guests options depending on what they’re in the mood for.

What We Tried

We had the opportunity to try a variety of dishes—from ramen to small plates and skewers—and each one brought something special to the table.

Chicken Paitan Ramen

The standout of our meal was the Chicken Paitan ramen. This dish features a rich white “paitan” broth that’s creamy, smooth, and deeply comforting. It has that luxurious texture you expect from a slow-simmered broth, but it doesn’t feel overly heavy.

The bowl is topped with tender chashu chicken breast, a seasoned soft-boiled egg with a perfectly jammy center, green onions, kikurage mushrooms, bean sprouts, and sesame seeds. Every bite had a balance of textures—from the silky broth and firm noodles to the fresh crunch of sprouts.

If you’re looking for a comforting, flavor-packed bowl of ramen, this one absolutely delivers.

Marufuku Bites (Highly Recommended)

One of our favorite items of the evening was the Marufuku Bites, and we can’t recommend them enough.

These Japanese steamed buns are filled with homemade chicken chashu and are incredibly delicious. The buns are soft, fluffy, and slightly sweet, while the savory filling adds depth and richness. It’s the kind of appetizer that disappears quickly from the table.

If you’re unsure what to order as a starter, this is the one to choose.

Fried Shishito Peppers

For something lighter, we ordered the Fried Shishito Peppers. They’re simple, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. Most of them are mild, but you might get an occasional pepper with a little kick, which makes them fun to eat.

They’re a great way to start the meal while you wait for your ramen to arrive.

Kushiyaki – Chicken Breast Skewer

Marufuku also offers kushiyaki, Japanese-style grilled skewers that are perfect for mixing into your meal. We tried the chicken breast skewer, which was tender and nicely seasoned.

It’s simple but satisfying—especially if you enjoy adding a variety of small bites to the table. Kushiyaki pairs well with ramen, giving the meal a more traditional izakaya feel.

Spicy Chicken Wings (Server Recommended)

When our server recommended the spicy chicken wings, we decided to give them a try—and we’re glad we did. They had just the right amount of heat, adding bold flavor without being overwhelming.

Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, they’re a great option if you’re dining with friends and want something flavorful to share.
