Khoury’s Mediterranean Restaurant has long been one of those dependable local spots that Las Vegas diners recommend to friends when they want something flavorful, comforting, and consistently good.

Having been around for years, this family-owned restaurant has built a loyal following by sticking to what it does best: authentic Mediterranean dishes, warm hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in.

On our recent visit, we stopped in for a lighter lunch, opting to share several appetizers along with a fresh salad and kabob. It was the perfect way to sample a variety of flavors and remind ourselves why Khoury’s continues to be a great option for locals.

A Warm and Authentic Mediterranean Atmosphere

One of the first things you notice at Khoury’s Mediterranean Restaurant is the inviting ambiance.

The space feels comfortable and relaxed, with authentic Mediterranean music playing softly in the background. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, enjoy your meal, and actually have a conversation without feeling rushed.

The décor and overall vibe reflect the restaurant’s roots, creating an experience that goes beyond just the food. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual lunch or a laid-back dinner, Khoury’s feels like a neighborhood staple where everyone is welcome.

Starting Strong with Jalapeño Hummus

We kicked off our meal with the Jalapeño Hummus, a dish we’ve come to expect great things from—and once again, it delivered. Creamy, smooth, and packed with flavor, the hummus had just the right amount of heat from the jalapeños without overpowering the classic chickpea-and-tahini base.

This appetizer has become a go-to for many regulars, and it’s easy to see why. It’s familiar yet slightly bold, making it a perfect way to start a Mediterranean meal. Whether you’re a hummus enthusiast or just looking for something shareable, this dish sets the tone right away.

Freshly Made Pita Bread You Can Watch Being Prepared

What truly elevates the hummus experience at Khoury’s is the freshly made pita bread. Instead of arriving pre-packaged or reheated, the pita is made in-house—and you can actually watch it being prepared in what looks like a pizza-style oven.

The bread comes out hot, soft, and perfectly puffed, with just the right balance of chewiness and crisp edges. Paired with the Jalapeño Hummus, it’s a simple combination that feels incredibly satisfying. There’s something special about receiving bread that’s still warm from the oven, and it’s one of those details that shows the care Khoury’s puts into their food.

A Selection of Appetizers Perfect for Sharing

Since we were in the mood for a lighter lunch, we decided to focus on appetizers, and Khoury’s offers plenty of options that are ideal for sharing.

The fried cauliflower was a standout. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, each bite was well-seasoned and paired beautifully with the creamy tahini sauce. It’s a dish that feels indulgent without being heavy and is a great choice for both vegetarians and meat-eaters alike.

We also ordered the feta fries, topped with crumbled feta and served with tzatziki on the side. The fries were crisp and flavorful, and the combination of salty feta and cool, garlicky tzatziki made them hard to put down. This is the kind of appetizer that disappears quickly once it hits the table.

A Fresh Mediterranean Salad with Beef Kabob

To round out the meal, we shared a Mediterranean salad topped with a beef kabob. The salad was fresh and vibrant, filled with crisp vegetables and classic Mediterranean flavors. Light yet satisfying, it paired perfectly with the grilled beef kabob, which was seasoned well and cooked just right.

The kabob added a hearty element to the meal without making it feel too heavy, striking a nice balance between fresh and filling. Sharing this dish made it easy to enjoy a complete meal while still sampling a variety of flavors from the menu.

Friendly Service That Keeps Guests Coming Back

Another reason Khoury’s Mediterranean Restaurant has stood the test of time is its friendly and attentive service. Our server was welcoming, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions about the menu. The service felt genuine and relaxed, adding to the overall comfort of the experience.

It’s clear that many guests are regulars, and the staff treats everyone with the same level of care, whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth.
