Carl & Martin’s Bar: 24/7 Karaoke Bar in Henderson

There’s a certain comfort to a neighborhood bar that knows exactly what it wants to be. Carl & Martin’s Bar in Henderson has that familiar feel, but there is plenty happening once you settle in: drinks, gaming, pool, shuffleboard, food, and one of its biggest draws today—karaoke seven nights a week.

The Green Valley bar is also open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, making it just as viable for an afternoon drink as it is for a late-night stop after most of Henderson has called it a night.

From Reno Roots to Green Valley

Carl & Martin’s traces its history back to Reno in 1944, and the business still leans into that neighborhood-bar heritage today. The Henderson location brought the name south while keeping the casual atmosphere and family-owned identity behind it.

Inside, the bar feels more like a local hangout than a polished nightlife venue. The wall decor, bar seating, games, and familiar neighborhood atmosphere give regulars plenty of reasons to settle in instead of treating the place as a quick stop.

That puts Carl & Martin’s in a different lane from some of the larger sports bars around the valley. If that laid-back local atmosphere is what you enjoy, our visit to Sticks Tavern on Water Street offers another Henderson take on the neighborhood-bar experience.

Food at Carl & Martin’s

The food side of Carl & Martin’s has changed since our original visit. The bar currently identifies Sin City Wise Guys as its partner kitchen, bringing a Chicago-style Italian food program into the venue.

That makes our original food experience something of a snapshot in time. When we visited, wings, burgers, cheesesteaks, and tavern-style pizza were part of what made the food unexpectedly memorable for a neighborhood bar.

The Drunk Burger was the standout from that visit. It arrived stacked with bacon, a fried egg and onion strings—a big, unapologetic bar burger that paired naturally with a cold beer.

As a Henderson local, the Drunk Burger was always my go-to at Carl & Martin’s Bar. When I wasn’t craving a burger, the tavern-style pizza was my second pick.

The important thing for a current visit is that the kitchen program has evolved, so diners should check the latest food offerings rather than assuming everything photographed during our original visit remains available.

Pool, Shuffleboard, Darts and Gaming

Carl & Martin’s isn’t built around sitting quietly at the bar. Pool tables, darts, shuffleboard and gaming machines all give the room something to do between drinks, songs, and whatever is playing on the screens.

If pool is the main event rather than something you play between drinks, the Las Vegas Cue Club offers a completely different experience centered around the tables themselves.

At Carl & Martin’s, the games instead work as part of the larger neighborhood-bar atmosphere. Someone can be lining up a shot at the pool table while another group is singing karaoke and someone else is trying their luck at a gaming machine.

The bar also promotes an outdoor patio and welcomes inquiries for group events and private-party arrangements, giving larger groups another reason to contact the venue before heading over.

A 24/7 Henderson Bar

One of Carl & Martin’s biggest advantages is simple: it never really closes. The Henderson location operates 24/7, so the experience is not restricted to a traditional dinner-and-drinks schedule.

The full bar carries beer, cocktails and spirits, while televisions around the room make it easy to keep an eye on sports while hanging out. For another local 24-hour tavern experience, Bogey’s Bar & Grill West offers its own combination of food, drinks and gaming.

If beer is the main reason for the outing, Chicago Brewing Company takes the night in a more brewery-focused direction.

Karaoke Seven Nights a Week

Karaoke has become one of the clearest reasons to know Carl & Martin’s. The Henderson bar currently hosts karaoke seven nights a week, giving locals a dependable place to grab the mic without waiting for a once-a-week karaoke night.

The current schedule lists karaoke from 7 PM to 11 PM Sunday through Thursday and 7 PM to 1 AM Friday and Saturday. Special theme nights are also scheduled, including a themed event on the last Saturday of the month. Because entertainment schedules can change, it is still worth checking the latest calendar before making a trip specifically for an event.

For another completely different take on karaoke around town, Cat’s Meow in Downtown Las Vegas turns it into a much bigger stage-focused experience.

The setup works because karaoke is not separated from the rest of the bar experience. Pool is still happening, drinks are still being poured, people are moving between groups, and the room keeps its casual neighborhood personality even when someone takes the stage.

A Local Henderson Hangout That Stays Up Late

Carl & Martin’s works because it does not need to become a nightclub, upscale cocktail lounge, or giant sports bar. It remains a 24/7 Green Valley neighborhood bar with enough entertainment to keep the night moving.

You can stop in for karaoke, play pool, grab a drink, watch a game, or just settle into the sort of bar where regulars already seem to know the rhythm of the room.

For something much larger and more theme-driven, Petrol Head Bar & Grill shows another side of Las Vegas bar culture, built around cars and a dramatically different atmosphere.

For Green Valley locals, though, Carl & Martin’s has a particularly easy proposition: the doors are always open, karaoke happens every night, and there is usually something to do once you walk inside.
