Open for just a year, this cozy spot offers an East Coast classic in the heart of the desert—and delivers it with authenticity, flavor, and character.

A Desert Craving Leads to a Discovery

It all started on a Friday afternoon when I found myself cruising toward the Red Rock scenic loop, enjoying the kind of perfect weather that makes you want to stay outdoors all day.

But suddenly, out of nowhere, a strange craving hit me—a lobster roll. Odd, I know. But in a city like Vegas, anything is possible, right?

Instead of hitting the trail, I made a sharp turn down Summerlin Parkway and aimed my handlebars toward Mystic Lobster Roll.

I had heard rumors of this little shop—a place that felt like a New England corner joint had been dropped in the desert. And as I pulled in, it didn’t disappoint.

Laid-Back Vibes and Unexpected Company

Walking in, I was greeted by the owner behind the counter, deep in friendly conversation with a group of car enthusiasts.

As it turns out, one of them was a major dealership owner who had flown in for some major meeting and just had to try the roll he’d heard about from fellow East Coasters.

The energy was unpretentious, warm, and inviting. It reminded me of that iconic scene from House of Cards—Kevin Spacey’s character returning to a no-frills rib shack.

Just good food, loyal locals, and an air of something special.

Rooted in Service and Family

The more I chatted with the owner, the more I realized just how personal this venture is.

A former military serviceman, he teamed up with his father to bring the Mystic Lobster Roll concept to Las Vegas.

Originally launched as part of a larger East Coast-based franchise, the parent company struggled to support its westward expansion.

But instead of giving up, this father-and-son duo decided to take full ownership of their location and perfect the concept on their own terms.

Their attention to detail, passion for service, and pride in their product are evident in every interaction.

It’s a small place with a big heart—and the food tells the story.

Freshness You Can Taste

One of the biggest secrets to their success? Fresh lobster.

They receive twice-weekly deliveries of lobsters and manage inventory with surgical precision to ensure that each roll is made with only the freshest ingredients.

And trust me, you can taste it in every bite.

This isn’t your average frozen seafood repackaged in a fancy bun. The meat is succulent, juicy, and cooked to perfection.

As we chatted, I realized this wasn’t just a shop—it was a replica of a real East Coast lobster haven.

Celebrities, casino execs, NFL players, and even Golden Knights swing by when they want to ditch the glamour and grab a quick bite that reminds them of home.

It’s the kind of place where conversations flow freely, the food is always top notch, and you never quite know who you’ll bump into.

The Rolls That Make Waves

I had to try the legendary Connecticut Hot Roll. Served warm with tender lobster meat, a side of drawn butter, perfectly sautéed onions and garlic, and of course, a crisp pickle—it was everything I hoped for and more. The flavors danced across my palate, and the roll was both indulgent and balanced. Fresh, buttery, comforting.

When I finished, I was asked how it was. My honest reply? So good I might need another. And yes, I ordered another.

The Deep South Surprise

This time I left the choice to the chef and received the Deep South Lobster Roll.

A totally different approach, yet just as memorable. Where the first was classic, this was bold, zesty, and full of contrast.

Together, the two made a case for trying every option on the menu.
