La Strega in Summerlin is one of the easiest restaurants in our local coverage to recommend when the occasion calls for an actual date-night atmosphere. Modern Italian cooking, house-made pasta, wine and cocktails give the evening a sense of occasion without requiring a trip to the Strip.

The restaurant also gives couples a choice in atmosphere. The open-kitchen side has more energy, while other areas are better suited to conversation. For Valentine’s Day, that flexibility matters—especially when you would rather enjoy dinner than spend the evening trying to hear each other.

Marché Bacchus

Few local restaurants have a setting quite like Marché Bacchus. The restaurant sits along the water at Desert Shores, giving couples a lakeside dining experience that can feel surprisingly removed from the rest of Las Vegas.

This is the choice for a slower Valentine’s meal where the setting is part of the experience. French-inspired food, wine and the waterfront make it particularly well suited to couples who would rather linger over dinner than rush to the next stop.

Ohlala French Bistro

Ohlala takes the French date-night idea in a different direction. Instead of waterfront scenery or a large dining room, it offers a smaller European-style bistro experience in Summerlin.

That intimacy is exactly why it works here. For couples who want Valentine’s dinner to revolve around conversation, French food and an unhurried atmosphere, Ohlala provides a neighborhood alternative to the much larger special-occasion restaurants around Las Vegas.

Hokkaido Teppanyaki Hibachi Steakhouse

Romance does not always have to mean candlelight. Hokkaido is a much better choice when your idea of a good date includes flames, chef interaction and plenty of laughter.

The teppanyaki experience gives the night a built-in activity instead of leaving two people sitting across from one another for the entire evening. That can be particularly fun for newer couples—or longtime couples who simply want Valentine’s dinner to feel less predictable.

Good Morning Kitchen & Cocktail Bar

Valentine’s Day does not have to start at dinner. Good Morning Kitchen works for couples who would rather celebrate with brunch, cocktails and a more social daytime atmosphere.

It is also useful when dinner reservations are becoming difficult. A Valentine’s brunch followed by an activity can turn into a much more relaxed day than trying to squeeze every part of the celebration into the busiest few hours of the evening.

PopStroke is a strong option when sitting through a long formal dinner sounds less appealing than actually doing something together. The experience combines mini golf, food, drinks and playful competition in one stop.

It works particularly well for casual dates and newer couples because there is always something happening. You can compete on the putting course, grab drinks afterward and keep the evening moving without planning several separate reservations.

Ethel M Chocolates

Chocolate already has a natural connection to Valentine’s Day, making Ethel M Chocolates in Henderson an easy addition to a date itinerary. The factory and cactus garden offer something couples can explore together without committing to another full meal.

Seasonal Valentine’s programming has also taken place here in the past, but we recommend treating the chocolate experience and cactus garden as the evergreen date idea. Monster Quest Escape Room

For couples who bond over challenges, an escape room changes the Valentine’s formula completely. Monster Quest puts teamwork at the center of the date, requiring you to communicate, solve puzzles and navigate the experience together.

It is a particularly good choice if both of you would rather collect a story than sit through another conventional Valentine’s dinner. Finish the escape and then head somewhere nearby for drinks or dinner.

Hokkaido Teppanyaki makes dinner interactive from the moment the chef starts cooking. It works particularly well when you want a special meal without the formality of a traditional romantic restaurant.

Playful and Competitive

PopStroke is the obvious choice for couples who enjoy a little friendly competition. Mini golf gives the date something to revolve around and leaves plenty of room for food and drinks afterward.

Something Sweet

Ethel M Chocolates makes sense as a dessert stop or as one part of a longer Henderson date. It is especially useful when you already have dinner planned but want something else to do before heading home.

A Daytime Valentine’s Date

Consider Good Morning Kitchen for brunch and then build an activity around the rest of the day. Celebrating earlier can also make Valentine’s Day feel less rushed than trying to fit dinner and an activity into the evening.

Something Completely Different

Monster Quest is for the couple that would choose puzzles and adrenaline over flowers and candlelight. It is also one of the easiest options here to combine with a casual dinner or drinks afterward.

Build Your Own Valentine’s Date

One of the easiest ways to make Valentine’s Day feel more personal is to stop treating dinner as the entire celebration. Pick one restaurant and one experience that actually match what you enjoy doing together.

A Summerlin evening could pair Italian or French dining with another activity nearby. Henderson can combine chocolate at Ethel M with dinner elsewhere in the area. Town Square makes PopStroke easy to turn into a longer evening without driving between several parts of town.

Valentine’s Day Isn’t Just for Couples

A useful local Valentine’s guide should work even if you are not planning a romantic dinner for two. February 14 can just as easily be an excuse for dinner with friends, a singles event, a group activity or a night doing something you genuinely enjoy.

Planning Valentine’s Day in Las Vegas

Make dinner reservations early. Valentine’s Day can turn normally manageable restaurants into some of the hardest tables to get, especially during prime evening hours.

Look beyond February 14. If the date itself becomes too crowded, celebrating the evening before or after can open up more restaurant choices and make the experience considerably more relaxed.

Verify holiday menus. Restaurants sometimes replace their normal menu with a prix-fixe Valentine’s menu, require deposits or change reservation policies. Do not assume the restaurant’s everyday menu or normal policies will apply.

Give yourself time between reservations. Dinner, activities and events can all run longer than expected. A Valentine’s itinerary stops being romantic quickly when you are watching the clock throughout dinner.

Check the weather for outdoor plans. February evenings in Las Vegas can be cold, particularly around patios and waterfront locations. If outdoor seating is important, ask about heaters and backup indoor seating when reserving.
