Raising the Standard for Automotive Protection in Las Vegas — Inside Tier 1 Autohaus

Austin Houser and Tony Krueger, co-founders of Tier 1 Autohaus in Las Vegas

In Las Vegas, cars are more than transportation. They’re investments, passion projects, and reflections of years of hard work. But between relentless desert heat, constant construction, and unforgiving road conditions, keeping a vehicle looking new in Southern Nevada isn’t easy.

That’s exactly where Tier 1 Autohaus has built its reputation. Known for high-end paint protection film, ceramic coating, window tinting, and vehicle enhancement services, the Las Vegas-based shop has become a destination for drivers seeking more than a quick detail or a basic protection package.

At the center of the company are co-founders Austin Houser and Tony Krueger, whose shared passion for precision, customer experience, and automotive culture helped transform a detailing operation into one of Las Vegas’ growing automotive protection brands. Together, they’ve built Tier 1 Autohaus around a simple philosophy: do things the right way, prioritize quality, and create an experience clients can trust from start to finish.

We sat down with Austin and Tony to talk about the journey behind Tier 1 Autohaus, Las Vegas car culture, and what it really takes to build trust in an industry where quality matters.

Building More Than a Detailing Shop

For Austin and Tony, the automotive industry became an opportunity to combine craftsmanship, protection, and customer experience into something more elevated than a traditional detailing shop.

“I’ve always been into cars, but what really hooked me was seeing how much of a difference proper care and protection makes,” Austin explained. “Anyone can wash a car, but restoring it, protecting it, and keeping it looking better than new long-term… that’s where it becomes a craft.”

That mindset eventually evolved into something bigger. What started with detailing naturally expanded into paint protection film (PPF), ceramic coating, window tint, and full vehicle protection systems designed to preserve vehicles long after they leave the showroom floor.

From luxury vehicles to exotic builds, Tier 1 Autohaus works on a wide range of high-end automotive protection and vinyl wrap projects.

Today, Tier 1 Autohaus isn’t positioned as a traditional detailing shop. Instead, Austin describes it as a complete vehicle protection and experience center.

“We’re not just a detailing shop — we’re a vehicle protection and experience center,” Austin said. “Everything we do is focused on preserving and enhancing cars at a high level, while making the process smooth and professional for the client.”

The Las Vegas Difference

Operating in Las Vegas comes with its own set of challenges for vehicle owners. Extreme heat, harsh UV exposure, endless construction zones, and road debris create conditions that can quickly damage paint, interiors, and finishes.

That environment is one of the biggest reasons Austin and Tony believe automotive protection has become essential for local drivers.

“Vegas is one of the harshest environments for cars,” Austin shared. “Rock chips, construction, heat, sun damage — PPF is the only thing that actually protects the paint from physical damage. Without it, it’s not a matter of if your car gets damaged — it’s when.”

For Tier 1 Autohaus clients, many of whom drive Teslas, luxury vehicles, exotics, and performance cars, protection isn’t just cosmetic. It’s about preserving value and maintaining long-term condition.

The shop’s services are designed to work together as a complete protection package. Paint protection film helps defend against chips and scratches, ceramic coating enhances gloss and simplifies maintenance, while ceramic window tint reduces heat and protects interiors from UV exposure.

“When combined, you’re protecting the entire vehicle — inside and out,” Austin explained.

Precision, Process, and Trust

One of the recurring themes throughout our conversation with Austin and Tony was consistency. In an industry where quality can vary dramatically between shops, Tier 1 Autohaus has built its reputation around process, attention to detail, and transparency.

“Anyone can lay film,” Austin said. “But high-end work comes down to prep, precision, edge work, cleanliness, and consistency. It’s the difference between something that looks good for a few months versus something that still looks flawless years later.”

That philosophy extends beyond installations and into customer relationships as well. Many Tier 1 Autohaus clients are local entrepreneurs, professionals, and business owners who value reliability just as much as craftsmanship.

Those relationships are everything,” Austin explained. “When you build trust with someone who runs a business themselves, it goes a long way. A big part of our growth has come from those relationships.”

For Austin, Tony, and the Tier 1 Autohaus team, trust isn’t built through marketing alone — it’s built through communication, professionalism, and results.

Transparency and communication,” Austin said when asked how the team approaches working with high-value vehicles. “We walk clients through everything, set expectations, and show them how we operate. Trust isn’t something you say, it’s something you show.”

Giving Back Through Car Culture

For Austin and Tony, building Tier 1 Autohaus has always been about more than vehicles. While the company is rooted in protection, precision, and customer experience, they also believe the automotive community has the power to create unforgettable moments for others.

One of the most meaningful experiences for the Tier 1 team came through participating in a Make-A-Wish program for a group of children visiting Las Vegas. Wanting to create something special beyond a standard arrival, the team organized a fleet of supercars to personally pick the kids up from Harry Reid International Airport and escort them to their hotel along the Las Vegas Strip.

As the children walked out of the airport and saw the lineup of exotic vehicles waiting for them, their excitement was immediate. From the flashing lights of the Strip to the roar of the engines echoing between the casinos, the experience became more than transportation — it became part of the memory they would carry with them forever.

“The look in those kids’ eyes was worth everything,” Austin shared. “Watching them pull up to the hotel valet in supercars, smiling the entire ride down the Strip — that’s something none of us will forget.”

For Austin, Tony, and the Tier 1 Autohaus team, moments like that represent what community involvement should really look like. Not just business growth, but using the opportunities they’ve built to help create experiences that genuinely impact people.

“Las Vegas is known for making memories,” Tony added. “Being able to play even a small role in helping make a dream come true for those kids was something incredibly special for all of us.”

Becoming Part of the Local Car Culture

Las Vegas continues to grow into a city filled with entrepreneurs, luxury vehicle owners, and automotive enthusiasts — something Austin and Tony believe has directly shaped the direction of Tier 1 Autohaus.

Vegas is full of people who value their time and their assets,” Austin explained. “A lot of our clients are business owners, entrepreneurs, or people who worked hard for their cars — and they expect things done right.”

That expectation has pushed the company to continually raise its standards while becoming increasingly connected to the local automotive community.

Attention to detail is a core part of the process at Tier 1 Autohaus, where technicians focus on precision polishing and paint correction before protection services are applied.

“We’re not just servicing cars — we’re part of the ecosystem,” Austin said. “Whether it’s enthusiast builds, Teslas, exotics, or daily drivers, we’re involved in what people are doing with their cars here.”

Even beyond the work itself, Austin and Tony believe supporting the local community often comes down to smaller, everyday interactions.

“It’s not always big gestures,” Austin said. “It’s how we treat people daily. Taking care of customers, supporting other local businesses, working with dealerships, and helping clients understand what they actually need instead of overselling them. That builds real trust locally.”

Raising the Standard

As Tier 1 Autohaus continues to grow, Austin and Tony remain focused on scaling intentionally rather than chasing rapid expansion.

“We started with detailing, mastered that, then added services that made sense — PPF, ceramic coating, tint,” Austin explained. “Each step was about leveling up, not just adding more.”

That long-term approach is also shaping the company’s future vision.

“To continue building the best automotive protection facility — not just in Las Vegas, but at a national level,” Austin said. “That means better systems, better customer experience, top-tier installs, and continuing to raise the standard in the industry.”

In a city as competitive as Las Vegas, Austin and Tony understand that reputation is earned over time.

“Vegas is competitive — you can’t fake quality here for long,” Austin said. “Building something real in this city, where people have options, is something I take seriously.”

As Las Vegas continues to evolve, businesses rooted in craftsmanship and long-term relationships are becoming increasingly important to the local community. Tier 1 Autohaus represents more than vehicle protection — it represents a growing standard of professionalism within Las Vegas’ automotive culture.

For Austin Houser and Tony Krueger, the mission remains straightforward: do things the right way, stand behind the work, and continue building something meaningful in the city they call home.
