Gears & Grinds Vegas: Where Cars, Coffee, and Community Collide

Gears & Grinds Vegas

Gears & Grinds Vegas is a one-of-a-kind car show that offers the roaring sound of high-performance engines, the rich aroma of racing fuel, and caffeinated drinks that drive gearheads’ veins.

It’s not just for hardcore car enthusiasts. Families, creatives, and curious onlookers come together to celebrate a shared love for anything on wheels. Whether you have a fascination with exotic supercars, sport motorcycles, or rugged rat rods, there’s something here that speaks to every kind of automotive passion.

How Gears & Grinds Vegas Started

Founded by Tyler Gallo, Taylor Goodyear, and others, Gears & Grinds Vegas started with a simple yet powerful idea: create a space where car lovers could connect beyond the metal and mechanics.

Gallo moved from the Midwest to Las Vegas about eight years ago, bringing with him a deep appreciation for car culture and community spirit.

Seeing an opportunity to build something special in Las Vegas, he teamed up with like-minded enthusiasts, including Taylor, to turn that vision into reality.

To house the event, Gallo made an agreement with Baguette Café to host their car show at their coffee shop every first and third Sunday of the month.

By doing so, he not only brought people together through cars but also supported a local business. What began as a small gathering of friends and fellow gearheads quickly grew into the city’s largest local reoccurring automotive event.

Their motto, ‘Where all gears with wheels are welcome,’ perfectly captures the heart and spirit of the car show. The event showcases classic, exotic, and imported cars, as well as motorcycles and anything with wheels!

Today, Gears & Grinds is more than a car meet; it celebrates automotive artistry, personal stories, and the unifying power of community!

A Classic Car Lover’s Paradise

Walking through Gears & Grinds Vegas feels like stepping into an open-air museum dedicated to automotive excellence. The event showcases an incredible variety of vehicles, from pristine classics to futuristic modern cars.

Each car tells a story, reflecting the passion and dedication of its owner.

Also, what car show is it without featuring a Chevy Imapala SS? Each Impala SS is a testament to American muscle, with owners proudly sharing tales of road trips and late-night races, their passion evident in every detail.

JDM Legends That Turn Heads

Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) cars hold a special place at Gears & Grinds. They showcase the ingenuity and style that have made them icons worldwide.

From the legendary Nissan Skyline GT-R to the turbocharged Toyota Supra, these cars are more than just machines—they’re symbols of Japan’s rich automotive history.

I love Nissan and Toyota cars, so seeing an R32 and R33 Skyline GT-R’s was amazing since these cars were never produced in America. Also seeing right hand drive Mazda FD RX-7’s were amazing too! This car show is a must if you’re into cars.

You’ll find everything from meticulously restored classics to heavily modified drift cars, each with its own unique story.

The attention to detail in these builds is staggering, with custom body kits, turbo upgrades, and intricate engine work that push the limits of what’s possible!

These cars aren’t just about speed; they’re rolling works of art, blending performance with aesthetic perfection. Attendees can get up close to these luxury vehicles, admire their meticulous craftsmanship, and even chat with their owners, who are often eager to share their passion.

Any racing fan knows that Porsche has a long history of winning. This winning mentality is what you’ll see in the event itself and the cars.

There are endless Porsche GT-3 RS models and 911s with a RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF (RWB) body kit!

Whether it’s the roaring V12 of a Ferrari or the refined elegance of a classic Jaguar, European cars bring a level of sophistication that captivates both casual observers and hardcore enthusiasts alike.

Motorcycles That Steal the Show

While cars are the main attraction at Gears & Grinds Vegas, motorcycles are also welcomed and heavily present.

The variety is impressive, from sleek sportbikes built for speed to custom choppers dripping with chrome. Bikers proudly display their rides, each one a reflection of personal style, craftsmanship, and engineering prowess.

Sip on French Coffee at Baguette Café

No visit to Gears & Grinds Vegas is complete without a stop at Baguette Café, the beloved French coffee shop is an integral part of the event.

More than just a coffeeshop, Baguette Café is woven into Gears & Grinds’s fabric. It offers delicious fare that fuels both body and spirit.

Their croissant omelets are a crowd favorite, perfectly flaky and filled with savory goodness. Parfaits layered with fresh fruit and creamy yogurt provide a refreshing start to the day, while pesto sandwiches offer a satisfying bite for hungry attendees.
